I'm just thinking out loud. To me Stevens as a gay ambassador in not so gay Libya, was a huge liability. He knew waaay too much! He knew where all the bodies and the weapons were buried.
The regime needed to keep everything buried in the middle of an election which is all that matters to them. They will and are throwing anyone under the bus to get barky re-elected.
Knowing what terrorists do to Gay infidels, not to mention an "American" gay infidel, who is also and ambassador!! What prize for them.!! Just reduce his security, infiltrate the "local security" shop keeper hires with a terror type or two seeded in and he's dead, they had to know or were really stupid.

US senator John Kerry visits Muslim Brotherhoods FJP headquarters
US Senator and head of the US Senate foreign relations committee John Kerry, along with US Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson, visited the Muslim Brotherhoods Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Cairo headquarters on Saturday.
The Muslim Brotherhoods Ikhwanonline website released the news on Sunday, stating that the meeting had been attended by FJP head Mohamed Morsi, FJP deputy leader Essam El-Arian, and FJP Secretary-General Mohamed Saad El-Katatni.
According to the Muslim Brotherhood website, Kerry stated that the FJPs success in the first round of Egypts first post-Mubarak parliamentary polls had come as no surprise, stressing his respect for the choice made by the Egyptian people. Discussions mainly revolved around Egypts ongoing economic crisis and the international treaties to which it is signatory, the website noted.
Morsi reportedly assured his visitors that no major changes would be made to Egypts constitution or to current investment laws.
He added that there were several principles that all Egyptian political forces agreed must be enshrined in Egypts national charter, including those concerning civil rights and general freedoms. However, he stressed that the section of the constitution related to presidential authorities would likely be subject to amendment.
Morsi further assured his interlocutors that in light of Egypts central role in the Arab, Islamic and international arena it would respect all international treaties to which it was signatory, adding that the US could play an important role in achieving political stability and economic recovery for several nations of the region.

This is some interesting reading....
US Embassy rejects accusations of trying to create chaos in Egypt
In its statement, the embassy explained that American non-governmental organizations are part of US efforts to support democratic transitions in a number of countries around the world, adding that their work in Egypt has been transparent, assisting Egyptian civil society and political parties in the preparation of the first truly democratic elections in Egypt.
The statement also said that the Egyptian government had recognized the National Democratic Institute and the International Republican Institute as viewers during the Peoples Assembly elections.
Meanwhile, Rashad al-Bayoumi, deputy guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, claimed that US Ambassador to Egypt Anne Paterson leads a US-Zionist scheme to induce sedition in Egypt as she did in Pakistan.
She has a miserable past of crimes committed in Pakistan, Bayoumi said.
In an article that was published Wednesday on the groups website, entitled What Next, Bayoumi wrote: The American-Zionist scheme cannot rest if the heralds of freedom hover over the Arab and Islamic societies, which is why this ambassador was chosen to incite sedition in Egypt.

Do you have a link for that?
There is a damning 40-50 min video no one wants Issa to see.

Issa didn’t ask which agency.

I’ll take a swing at this Rush. CNN is a gay friendly network. A gay man, who happened to be an ambassador, was attacked and was in desperate need of medical help. Instead of getting life saving medical attention, he was anally raped. Then he died. And he was anally raped some more. This was horrific, and it appears that the Obama administration could not have cared less. I think it was a wake up call for CNN, and the pathos was overwhelming to them. They have taken a stand, maybe not a permanent stand, but for now, they have taken a stand against a bunch of “lying crap weasels.” (Thanks to beautiful Michelle Malkin on Hannity last night for those words.)

I see Stevens and his three CIA handlers as major league patriots, giving their lives for their country.
The gay aspect of Stevens is important only since we know how they are treated once they are caught. They are brutalized before they are killed. Stevens was reportedly sodomized and then dragged through the streets. These Islamist/terrorists are animals.
