James Clapper, director of National Intelligence (DNI), has come out swinging against his critics, just two weeks after his public affairs director said that US intelligence had initially labeled the attacks on our Benghazi consulate spontaneous.
Back on September 28, the DNI public affairs director explained, We provided that initial assessment to Executive Branch officials and members of Congress, who used that information to discuss the attack publicly and provide updates as they became available. As we learned more ... we revised our initial assessment to reflect new information indicating that it was a deliberate and organized terrorist attack carried out by extremists.
But today, Clapper denied that his office had done anything wrong. The challenge is always a tactical warning, the exact insights ahead of time that such an attack is going to take place and obviously we did not have that, he said, in particularly Clintonian language. This gets into the mysteries versus secrets thing. If people don't behave, emit a behavior or talk or something else ahead of time to be detected, it's going to be very hard to predict an exact attack and come up with an exact attack
. I flew back to Washington, and I'm reading the media clips about the hapless, hopeless, helpless, inept, incompetent DNI, because I acknowledged publicly that we didn't instantly have that 'God's eye, God's ear' certitude about an event that I mentioned earlier. It made me want to go right back to Australia.

YUP! With any luck, these investigations will take as long as the Fast & Furious investigations.......and prolly have the same results.
Ya just gotta love the House Committee on Hindsight and Government Expansion.
Michelle Malkin was on Hannity talking about how these people are behind the scenes, trying to find someone to be the scapegoat. She called them “lying liars” and “crap weasels.” And she too would like to have Susan Rice subpoenaed to explain to Congress, under oath, exactly who told her that this incident was the result of a stupid film. I fell in love with Michelle Malkin again today.
Michelle Malkin was on Hannity, excoriating the incompetent “lying liars” and “crap weasels” of the Benghazi scandal. She included Charlene Lamb in this bunch, and said that Lamb was a part of the decision makers who refused extra security for Benghazi. And Malkin said that there was no budgetary reason for the refusal. The accusation that Republicans had something to do with withholding funds is totally false. The stink and rot in our Government has ruined and killed good Americans. How in God’s name are we ever going to get a Government that is of, by and for the people when they keep hiring and promoting the stupid, the incompetent, and the liars?
Yet the MB has partnered with the Salafist Al Nour Party in the Egyptian government. I’m a regular working stiff yet know that the Salafists-Wahabbis aren’t into secularism anything. In fact, I posted this last night...
Liberal, secular ‘infidels’ must be prosecuted, says Brotherhood preacher

!The Clap” is crawling under his rock?
Grab his ear before he can disappear!
on a related note i saw a pic of hilary on drudge right now and the first thought i had was “Emperor Palpatine’s sure let his hair grow long”...
Then, to add insult to injury, Oblamer thought it would be a marvelous opportunity to use this crisis of his own making to curtail free speech - something all Commies, third world dictators and Nazis of every stripe are equally in a mad rush to accomplish. It would have started by banning any speech that 'insulted' Islam - what constitutes an "insult" would be decided by perpetually enraged and easily 'insulted' Islamist psychos.
I was thinking more of this: The Clapper Crapper

When they look stupid and act stupid it is because they are stupid!
Clapper thinks JIHAD is a great thing.
America is so screwed to have him anywhere in the govt.
AM Bump.
Identifying the Special Operations Force behind the Usama bin Laden raid amounted to placing a target on the back of the team members as well as their families, according to the parents of Aaron Vaughn, a member of SEAL Team Six who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011.
The Vaughns spoke with Fox News as part of an ongoing report on the war in Afghanistan for an upcoming episode of the "Fox Files." While the Vaughns do not believe their son was part of the bin Laden mission, they said the entire team shared the victory, and eventually the shock, of being named.
Aaron called me and said, 'Mom, you need to wipe your social media clean of any reference to me or any of my buddies. Just disconnect completely,' Karen Vaughn said her son warned after Vice President Biden publicly identified the SEALs on May 3, 2011 -- two days after the raid. He [Aaron] actually said to me, 'Mom, there's chatter, and all of our lives could be in danger, including yours' ... then I realized all of those families, you know, you're talking about a community of around three hundred families who were all of a sudden made targets by this administration.
With Tuesday marking 11 years since the Sept. 11 attacks, the Vaughns said that the terror strike gave their son the drive to join the elite Navy SEALs, adding that a passion stirred in his heart.
But Aaron's father Billy Vaughn said it was a betrayal to identify these selfless young men who put their country before everything else.
We expect better out, out of the, the high-up's in our government. We, as American citizens, look to our government. We elect them, we look to them to take care of the best interests of the American citizen, and especially the warrior. And I believe what the administration did, then I believe it was criminal.
Karen Vaughn stressed that SEAL Team Six members want to stay private.
I can tell you one thing, SEAL Team Six did not want to be identified, Karen Vaughn said. So it wasn't that they were trying to be proud of them, because those men do not need a pat on the back. They don't work for that. They spend their entire lives in this code of secrecy and privacy, and [
] they do not want attention.
"Uranus Crapper invented the first pay toilet in 1904. The previous versions of the toilet were free to anyone who knew the secret code to unlock the lavatory door. By slapping one's hands together one could unlock the toilet and this became known in ballparks and bus stations around the country as the Clapper Crapper."
Well Golly, learn something new every day! :)
These b!tches lied and lied and now they got to pay the price. Klapper has proven many times he’s an idiot and out of the loop. Romney will fire his arse 5 seconds after he is inaugurated
Remember that air assault on Libya without Congressional approval? How about that non-recessional recess appointment? Looking back even further, what Republican President would have gotten away with the BP shakedown or Nationalization of GM?
I think I would change my name, in fact I know I would. lol
My blood is boiling, now with the Libya massacre and all Obama/Hillary lies, and the new embassy killing announced today in Yemen, and the Solyndra TAX scandal coming to light, and, and, and, and.
This is all fair game for Mitt Romney to use.
I have never in my life been afraid of my government to the extent that I am today.
Incompetence?, Ignorance?, Deliberate or Fained Incompetence?, Deliberate campaign to destroy America and Cover UP? If the last is the case, then it was so BADLY done that one would have to revert to they ARE just dangerously INCOMPETENT. My GOD, please help us.
Haul Ambassador Rice before the Congressional Hearings and swear her in. "Who told you to lie?". Once we know that, we will know the rest of the story.
I hear ya....everyone in this household is seething!
