For the first week of this election season, Mitt Romney is outspending President Barack Obama on television ads, with the Republican challenger dipping into a war chest amassed from an aggressive fundraising schedule.
Mr. Romney will spend about $16.8 million on television ads this week, according to ad-tracking data provided by media buyers, while Mr. Obama will spend about $15.5 million, down 30% from a week earlier, when the campaign spent heavily to air a two-minute, pre-debate spot.
When spending by independent super PACs is included, the mismatch is wider. Mr. Romney and his allies will combine for $31.4 million this week, compared with $19.7 million for Mr. Obama and his supporters, according to data from one media tracker.

Romney is a battle hardened business operative. He is not going to act on emotions, just cold hard reality of politics. Now is the right time to begin carpet bombing Ads. He did the same in primaries.
Oh, hell yeah.
I’m in Wisconsin , the bombing started after the debate. I’m wearing out the mute button on my remote.
LMAO!!!! Awesome.
I’m in the South and I see Obama ads every so oftenon national sports broadcasts but nothing from Romney. I keep seeing people report Obama TV dominance. Where has Romney been spending his money?
Hallelujeh. Let the carpet bombing begin.
I have seen a rash of Romney ads here in VA in the past 2 weeks.
I have seen a rash of Romney ads here in VA in the past 2 weeks.
My guess he spending it where it matters the most. I’m seeing Obama ads here in Illinois, granted it was on a cable station.
If you're in a safe Romney state like me...in Georgia...no need to waste the money.
I use to live in Ohio until 2011.....believe me you don't want to know what it feels like to get carpet bombed....it really sucks when your guy doesn't win.
I live in California. I have not seen one political ad from either presidential candidate. I don’t remember what a presidential campaign ad looks like. I feel like I am voting in North Korea. The outcome is pre-ordained. Please get some of your neighbors to vote for me.
Great!! Bury the Kenyan anti-Christ!!
the swing states... Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvanis, Colorado, Neveda to name a few... he's got most of the south so he won't be spending money there... he won't get California (my state) so he's not spending money here...
“I feel like I am voting in North Korea.”
Well, your state bears a resemblance to North Korea.
Per polls, Romney has a huge south advantage....no need for ads there.
Nobody seems to agree with me on this, but I think that the race tapes and the Telemundo interview were somehow initiated from the Romney camp.
I am I Florida as I type this.
As of today I can testify the Romney troops are POUNDING the airwaves today like I haven’t seen so far in this election cycle.
The new carpet bombing ads are DEVASTATINGLY GREAT!!!!!!!
American Crossroads just purchased a 4 state ad buy (per Huffington Post):

The ad is called “Four More” and it HAMMERS Obama!!. I have seen it at least 10 times while channel surfing in the last few hours, followed by a Romney ad BACK-TO-BACK!!!
Here is the ad on Greta Wire:
More like Mexico.
