Gosh, aren't we part of NATO?

We sure are, because they haven't the stones to throw us out on our ear.

So if we go to war against Syria, won't NATO have to help us?

Yes, and America is part of NATO, too.

So, you mean, we can force America to go to war with Syria?

Force is such an indelicate word. They'll do it, though, because our man will get reelected. It's October. Time for the surprise.

But what if he doesn't win reelection?

Then his opponent will be stuck with a war he doesn't want, and lots of OWS and Ladies in Pink, protesting him. It'll be one short honeymoon.

Sounds good. OK. Let's send America to war.

How do you spell “false flag?” Oh wait...I just did. I love the US and love our armed Forces. But I would hardly blame them if they just said, “No more.”

SAN JOSÉ DEL CABO, Mexico — President Obama and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir V. Putin, finally had their face-to-face meeting on Monday, as Mr. Obama pressed Mr. Putin to work with him to ease President Bashar al-Assad of Syria out of power, a move increasingly viewed by the West as the only way to end the bloodshed that has been under way there for more than a year.

But after two full hours together, Mr. Putin was still balking, appearing afterward with Mr. Obama before reporters in a grim tableau that seemed to bespeak the frustration on both sides. During the few minutes that it took their handlers to usher reporters out of the room after their prepared remarks, the two leaders remained seated, side by side, staring straight ahead, with none of the interaction or small talk that leaders usually engage in before the cameras. “We agreed that we need to see a cessation of the violence, that a political process has to be created to prevent civil war,” Mr. Obama said.

Under the terms of the NATO treaty, an attack on one is an attack on all, which is why NATO is in Afghanistan. Under the terms of the treaty if Syria attacks Turkey, they have also attacked, the U.S., Britain, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, France, Norway, Denmark and Portugal.

Ambassador Stevens’ real job was to funnel Khaddaffi arms to our Syrian “friends” who are proto Al Qaeda. The Obama Admin could never do that via legit channels, so they’re doing it the new Iran/Contra way —it’s OK cuz Barry is black, see? That makes it OK.

So with Syria a Russian client state, this will get us sucked into a war big enough for people to think the USA can’t affort to “switch horses in mid-stream”

Remember WHAT MOVIE that li’l buzz phrase came from..?

Yes, it is. I would prefer "facilitate". Also trading illegal weapons is now known as "gunwalking" - I thought you should know.
