As NewsBusters reported Monday, African-American actress Stacey Dash was thoroughly lambasted on Twitter for expressing her support for Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
During an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan Tuesday, a defiant Dash marvelously said, "I chose him not by the color of his skin but the content of his character" (video follows with transcribed highlights):
STACEY DASH: I just feel that as a country, this is my choice. This is the man I want to lead my country. It is my right as an American citizen. It’s my Constitutional right to have my choice of who I want to vote for for President. And I chose him not by the color of his skin but the content of his character.
PIERS MORGAN, HOST: Have you heard from Mitt Romney at all?
DASH: Yes, well not Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan.
MORGAN: Paul Ryan rang you today?
DASH: Yes, he did.
MORGAN: What did he say?
DASH: He said, “Thank you so much for your support,” and that I was brave, and they support me, and I thought that was so generous and kind. You know? Lovely. Really

Give the girl a free Obamaphone and she’ll come around!
Ryan dated a black girl once, right? Hopefully this isn’t the first time his wife is hearing about this phone call. ;-)
And you would know this, how?
“....assignation......”
Did you mean to say assassination? Because I think assignation alludes to some kind of sexual debauchery or something. That may not be precise but it’s at least inside the ball park. Just asking. Inquiring minds want to know.....’er somethin’ like ‘at.
But she doesn’t have Michelle Obama’s “perfectly toned arms” — HA HA HA HA!
Glad to know she is on our side.
I’d pay you 1K (for reals) if you make it so that I never have to see Pelosi, Helen Ross, or Debbie Stabenow again.
They’ve given me a condition called ED.
How sad is it when a candidate for Vice President has to call a celebrity and tell her that she’s “brave” for publicly supporting his running mate? In the United States of America, you now have to be “brave” to say, “I’m for the Republican candidate.” So much for freedom of speech. So much for tolerance.
Fox should hire her.
And fire Shep Smith!
Piers just can’t believe that any black would would want to leave the leftist plantation.
I'm sure we can find a guy to do the same for you. If you'd rather, of course.
Ohhhhhhh, stinging!
Because he's familiar with more porn sites than Larry Flint.
Wow, so me being against porn means I’m a porn fiend and you guys LOVING it and wanting to make them role models for the children is fine and dandy?
Coming from a large family of black Dems, I'd say you're right, except that the percentages will likely be reversed.
As bad as Obama is, Romney probably won't get more than ten percent of the black vote. I think McNuts got about 8%.
Voter enthusiasm among blacks (and every other Obama constituency except abject Communists) has pretty much cratered. He's going to get wiped out in this election. I don't think it's even going to be close.
No, you knowing every detail of every TV show with any so-called pornographic content, every woman who ever took off her clothes and countless other details of the porn industry means you must spend a lot of time looking for it. Accusing me of something with no basis isn’t going to camouflage that.
If you think what Stacey Dash has done is porno, then you truly haven't been 'around the block'. The photos I've seen of her aren't much racier than what you'd find in a Victoria's Secret magazine.
What's her net worth measured in Obamaphones? What's yours?
