With Big Bird out of the picture, the Obama campaign is relying on a new cuddly creature to win over Americans’ hearts and minds: The First Dog Bo.
Late this afternoon the Obama campaign uploaded a “Happy Birthday Bo Obama” video to its YouTube that features Barack and Michelle Obama. Ironically not about the First Dog’s fourth birthday at all and shows almost the same amount of footage of Barack and Michelle talking as it does the First Dog.
In the heartwarming video the first couple talks about how the first dog generally only listens to the President because he is intimidated by his “booming voice” and how compassionate the President is for letting Bo climb on the couch.
The video is clearly an attempt to make the First Family look more down to earth and help them connect to the middle class Americans Obama is targeting with his reelection efforts.

Im hoping for humane treatment for Bo, when Obama is voted out.
That’s my hope when things change, anyway.
Let’s not forget that the current Occupancy in our White0house (after doing a hundred other things to get elected while hiding his real identity from us), refused and refused and refused again to get his kids a dog. It took America’s great politically-astute swimming champion Ted Kennedy to fix the Moslem-dog problem by making a public gift of Bo to the Occupancy. Bo is a very cute pooch but deserves all of our watchful care since he’s now forced to live with a man who eats dogs. Pray for Bo and pray for America.
It’s nice that they’ve been able to keep their dog while millions of others have had to give up their pets thanks to Obama’s economy.

May Bo's trainer rest in peace. It is very strange the number of relatively young people close to Obama who have had untimely deaths.
Bo looks confused. I wonder if Bo actually spends any time with the first family at all or if he is just a political tool. Bo's behavior reminds me of the Gilda Radner skit on the old Saturday Night Live show where she was a confused kid torn between her two fighting parents.
