Barack Obama leads Mitt Romney by a 2 point margin, identical to his lead in late September according to Susquehanna Polling and Research. But the Republicans debate performance contributed to a 6 point jump in his favorability rating.
In a poll conducted just after the first presidential debate, from Oct. 4 to 6, 47 percent of respondents said they support Obama; 45 percent support Romney. 3 percent support Libertarian Gary Johnson.
The Obama-Romney head-to-head numbers are identical the most recent Susquehanna Polling and Research survey released on Sept. 23. The margin of that poll, commissioned by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review closely resemble that of another SP&R survey conducted for the Pa. Republican party which showed Obama at a 48 percent to 47 advantage.
When the undecided voters leaning towards a candidate are factored in (breaking 3:1 for Romney), the race narrows to a 1-point Obama lead, 47 percent to 46.

Gee there is that 47 percent number again. I think Romney can win PA, before I didn’t think there was a chance he could do it but now I think its definitely possible. Go for the clean sweep!!
I live in Yellow Dog Country in PA and am used to having them in my face crowing all day about how Bob Casey or Ed Rendell is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I hear NOTHING from them right now. I mean, absolute crickets. And a very large number of these “End the War on Coal” signs has sprung up.
I think we may be about to experience an outbreak of Reagan Democrat Syndrome around here.
I think it is now fair to say that PA is now tighter than a bullfrog’s behind!
PA Ping!
If you want on/off the PA Ping List, please freepmail me. Thanks!
Awesome news!! Thanks for the update! I don’t think it will be a Reagan landslide(Since my home state of California is too far gone to be saved unfortunately) but I think Romney will win Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Colorado, New Hampshire, and possibly Nevada and Pennsylvania..I will tune into MSNBC just to hear them cry. The only thing I worry about is WHO is counting the ballots, just like with Venezuela last night, it was clear that Chavez lost the election but he had his goons count the votes so at the end he “won” the same thing could happen here
Do they have Obamaphones in PA?
This race is cracklin' like corn bread in a Texas Roadhouse fire. It's closer than moonmen and swiss cheese hot pockets. It's making my fingernails sweat. When the going gets weird, anchor men punt. As we used to say, if a frog had side pockets, he'd carry a handgun.
Romney is going to win Pa. You can continue to whine and complain that he does not have a chance in Pa or in the nation or you can hop on board and join the fun while all the Donkeys hang their heads in shame.
r-34 D-38 I-26. Is this a good sample?
Big time Reagan Democrat transformation is in process as I type. Also, Romney will carry the formerly GOP suburbs—which voted for Obama and John Kerry—surrounding Pa. Also, look for above average turnout in rural and coal country Pa. Look for a typical loss for Romney in Philly but watch him take a higher margin in Philly than for any Republican since Bush 41 in 1988. Romney said he will carry Pa and he knew what he was talking about.
I definitely think that PA is in play. I see hardly any Obama signs in Chester and Delaware counties, in contrast to 2008.
What remains to be see is what effect 140% turnout in Philly will have.
That was Philly’s—not Pa—surrounding suburbs.
These creeps just won't stop lying.
Connecticut is in play.
If Connecticut is in play, Pennsylvania is Romney’s by +2.
Well I don’t deserve 6 buck gas but the Obama loons sure do..and from the reaction Obama received when he was in LA they sure don’t seem to mind paying that much money for gas. They were swooning for him and taking photos of his motorcade, really disgusting to see but the majority of the ones fawning for him were illegals, so that’s Obama’s base who get freebies from the Govt, I doubt any of them have cars
Unfortunately we do have Obamaphones in PA. They have been advertised on local television here.
damn straight. Much obliged.
