Good evening, Kathy! Thanks very much to you and Star for tonight's Hall of Heroes thread!



Navy corpsmen lift a wounded Marine into the cabin of one
of the Grasshoppers of a Marine Observation Squadron on
Okinawa. The plane will then fly the casualty on to one
of the aid stations in the rear for further treatment.

Doc Halyburton truly deserves inclusion in our Hall of Heroes! His conduct under fire exemplifies the highest traditions of the Navy Hospital Corps, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the military service of the United States.
