This is very strange. I think one of the things that Rahm Emanuel may be afraid of is Obama. Emanuel fled the Bambi administration, and several other hard leftists have also departed, possibly because they didn’t feel that Obama was coming through very successfully, but also possibly because they realized they were part of a cult of personality that was going to turn on them at some point.
I think that Obama has decided that his real identity is found in a true fantasy, the black American Third World gay/bi redeemer. He comes out of the 1960s white male liberal fantasy world, where the coolest thing you could be was a black male Marxist, bi or even gay, with sort of Muslim and sort of African connections. He was too young to be part of it, but he was brought up in that ethos by his leftist grandparents and their circle, and then when he went to New York he was taken up by Arabs and also by Bill Ayers and others in that Black Panther-worshipping, vicarious-violence addicted group, all of whom were about 15 years older than he. So if Obama seems to be caught in a time-warp, he is.
James Taranto on WSJ, BEST of the WEB, had a section about Obama’s problem judging or relating to men. He compared Obama’s remarks about Mitt Romney at the debate to the remarks that he made when he disowned Rev. Wright. He said that all the top advisors and most influential people in his life have been women, starting with his mother, his wife, Valerie Jarrett and Hillary Clinton. I thought that the fact that Hillary made the list was interesting.
If Rahm is a Bill Clinton loyalist, his life isn’t worth a three-dollar bill.
Obama has broken free of the Clinton’s controls, and he means them nothing good.
If Obama loses, Chicago will be ground zero of the civil war for control of the Democrat Party. I’d put my money on the Clintons.
