President Barack Obamas fundraising trip to Los Angeles this weekend will provide a boost to his campaign coffers and also an opportunity to soothe his Hollywood supporters left shaken after his widely-panned debate performance against Republican rival Mitt Romney.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sunday nights star-studded concert and $25,000-per-plate dinner will now have Obama reassuring his donors that hes still committed to victory and ready for Romney in round two. As the Reporter noted, the entertainment industry has been a lucrative fountain for the president to tap this campaign cycle, but there is no doubt the Hollywood crowd was deeply shaken by what transpired in Denver on Wednesday.
Everyone is in shock, a longtime Democratic activist told the Hollywood Reporter. No one can understand what happened.
Citing several longtime Obama supporters the Reporter said Obama can also expect some camera-ready tips for the next go-around directorial notes on how to tailor his performance to televisions split screen.
Obamas night will kick off at L.A.s Nokia Theater with Katy Perry, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Jon Bon Jovi and others before headlining the dinner at Wolfgang Pucks WP24. Both events could net more than $5 million for the campaign.
The trip will also include a private meeting with a dozen top donors in Beverly Hills, which former President Bill Clinton is expected to attend.
Everyone with a connection to the president is reaching out to him, another veteran Dem told the Reporter. At the end of the day, the best coach he has is himself.
"With just about a month until Election Day, Vice President Joe Biden is in the middle of taking nearly a week off the campaign trail. He will return to doing campaign events on Thursday, when he will debate Rep. Paul Ryan in the vice presidential debate.
On Friday, October 5, according to the White House, Biden spent the day working. In the morning, he was scheduled to attend the presidential daily briefing in the Oval Office, with President Obama. That afternoon Biden was to "meet with senior advisors," according to the White House.
For this weekend, the White House provided the following guidance: "The Vice President will be in Wilmington, Delaware. There are no public events scheduled."
As for the next three days, Biden will remain in Delaware. "On Monday through Wednesday, the Vice President will be in Wilmington, Delaware. There are no public events scheduled."
Meanwhile, Thursday, October 11, is a big day for Biden. "On Thursday, the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will travel to Danville, Kentucky. In the evening, the Vice President will participate in the Vice Presidential Debate at Centre College. Dr. Biden will also attend. This event is open to pre-credentialed media."
So while Biden is taking 6 days off the campaign trail at a crucial time in the presidential campaign, it's likely that he isn't completely off. He is said to be spending time with David Axelrod and other campaign advisers preparing for Thursday's debate."
The trip comes on the heels of an unsteady debate performance by the president last Wednesday in Denver. Gallups daily tracking poll Saturday showed the presidents lead over Romney nationally slipping from six points midweek to just three points on Saturday.
Sorry....IMHO, Biden will clean Ryan’s clock.
It sounds as though the commie freaks in Hollyweird might be starting to panic. The dream of a communist utopia is starting to fade.
Not even close!!
Can hear it now....
OMG OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!

Matalin to Krugman: Youre Hardly Credible on Calling Someone Else a Liar
You are right except you need to add a bunch of f-words in there. OMFG... :)
He's also his own best speech writer, campaign adviser, and bowling coach. *Snicker*
Just like he did with Palin, right?
I read in a column in the Palm Beach Putz. There was an interview with Barbra Streisand. She said “thank God for Barack Obama!” I damn near lost my bagel.
Funny to hear a statement like that from an atheist leftist.
Romney's Rally! Crowd is building
I didn’t know she was an atheist. I’m not surprised.
I’d rather see him fundraising with his Hollywood lib pals than doing debate prep.
Let him spend all the time in Hollywood he wants.
The Palin/Biden debate was no big deal. Palin didn’t score...
