Poll: Apparent Slide for Obama Following Debate (R-48 O-46)

A new poll shows a slight change in the presidential race immediately following Wednesday night's debate in Denver, with a 4-point lead for President Obama the day before the debate becoming a 1-point deficit the day after his uninspiring peformance.

On Tuesday, the Washington, D.C.-based Clarus Research Group surveyed 590 likely voters and found Obama leading Mitt Romney, 49 percent to 45 percent. On Thursday, Clarus found, in an identical number of interviews, that Romney had inched ahead by 1 point, 47 percent to 46 percent.

Notice how the story is stated in terms of Obama, e.g. Obama slides. Obama has been President for 4 years. A poor debate performance did not all of sudden enlighten people as to what Obama is or is not about.

No. The real story is that Romney is surging. A lot more people now have seen Romney in action and heard his side of the story.

Biden is, by far....the dumbest human being in the universe......but....I would take nothing for granted.

Ever hear Patricia Bin Murray from Washington, Al Franken from Minnesota or our own Pennsylvania doofus Bob Casey, Jr., the best thing of which can be said about him is that he is silent and invisible most of the time?

Biden is dumb, but nowhere near the dumbest. Not even in the narrow universe of present and former U.S. Senators. Vice Presidents? Maybe. But Al Gore would give him tough competition for that title.

If they don't earn the money to pay for it themselves, it has no value to them.
In short, they don't care, and aren't going to show any sense of responsibility for it.

Just wait until post debate of Ryan v. Biden...add another 4 points!!!

I rather doubt it will move the numbers at all. People are going to focus on the top of the ticket unless there were some extreme gaffe.

In what world four years ago this month would Sarah have been expected to stomp Biden? Maybe here, but, that would have been about it.

I don’t know what’’s wrong with me. I’m still terrified of something but not sure what. But I do know that evil doesn’t just give up and go away, they find even more heinous methods to destroy their enemies.

Aside from that, I’m feeling pretty damn good about the debate :-)
