exactly why there should be a conservative network.

Why isn’t there a basic cable conservative network? Is it not lucrative to promote right? Do people really want to pay more for garbage?

There are some cable channels devoted to more-or-less wholesome programming (whether you'd label it conservative is another debate) but they certainly don't attract the ratings that other networks do.

The best explanation is that outrageousness and sex sells while stable marriages and families don't. We all are attracted to the train wreck more than the train that ran successfully.
