MSNBC hosts wondered whether President Obama lost last night's debate to Mitt Romney because he was unable to use a Teleprompter:
"There's another element here that perhaps should be under discussion: The president had no Teleprompter last night," said MSNBC host Mike Barnicle. "He speaks almost all the time off of a Teleprompter. Forced now to stand on his feet after years in the bubble, getting pushed back a little, he didn't do too well. He didn't do too well."
"Alright, even Bill Maher had to point that this was a rough one for the president, he tweeted this: 'i can't believe i'm saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter,'" another host, Mika Brzezinski, added.

I kept thinking that the Secret Service would rush up onto the stage and drag Romney off for beating up the president.
And now Newts words come back to haunt, Newt said he would debate Obastard anytime anyplace and he would even let him use his teleprompter.

My son watched the debate for a while last night and he said “He says ‘umm’ a lot, doesn’t he?”

It was easy for obammy in 2008 when he could speak extemporaneously on how he would save everything and GW was the devil. Now he has a 3.5 yr undefendable record to defend. Ain’t so easy.
You have just pointed out the foundational problem he has. It’s been pointed out at various times over the last year, but many of us knew that it would be an issue especially during the debates. It is the gorilla in the room.
It is the reason he will lose.
I noticed through most of the debate, as Obama was answering questions, he was looking down at his podium. I think he was actually looking at his notes as he was talking.
I remember when Bush was accused of being fed information via a secret earpiece, that was never proven.
