Ok, we've been following these numbers for three weeks. In a nutshell, ACROSS THE BOARD, in every county (red or blue) we have seen a sharp increase in absentee ballot requests from Rs and a significant decrease from Ds. Cuyahoga (Cleveland), the big Dem Kahuha county, is down 6%, which would translate in a general election to a decrease of 60,000-70,000 votes. Franklin (Columbus) went for Obama by 21 points. The Dems are TRAILING there by 6,000 absentee requests. (That's a 'swing' of about 25 points).
The cutoff for absentee requests is soon (have to find out when) but the Rs are pretty close to already winning this part of the battle, convincingly.
I thought the absentee ballots could be requested up until the Saturday before an election..... and filled out and, received by mail or in person, by 7:30 pm the day of the election.
Is there a different schedule?
Is voter fraud using absentee ballots going to happen? Could the Obama team simply suddenly, and now, knowing the exact total they need, going to flood the counties with thousands of phoney ballots?
That is my fear.
