stfassisi was not saying that Hannity is a liberal, he was saying that he is a “liberal Catholic.” Probably a better choice of words would have been “cafeteria Catholic.” Hannity has said many times that he disagrees with the Magesterium on the issue of birth control, and I am sure there are other issues as well, but I don’t know what they are. Just the fact that he disagrees with the Magesterium on a single issue means that he doesn’t take the teaching of the Church seriously and thinks he has the freedom to disagree, which really makes him no different - with respect to the Church’s teaching - than Pelosi and her stance on abortion. If you are a Catholic, you submit to the Church’s teaching. Otherwise, you are not a Catholic, because that’s what Catholic means: believing what the Church has always taught. (I say this as a convert, so I am aware of the ramifications.)
