Oregon authorities are investigating how a farmer was eaten by his hogs.
Terry Vance Garner, 69, never returned after he set out to feed his animals last Wednesday on his farm near the Oregon coast, the Coos County district attorney said Monday.
A family member found Garner's dentures and pieces of his body in the hog enclosure several hours later, but most of his remains had been consumed, District Attorney Paul Frasier said. Several of the hogs weighed 700 pounds or more.

Never thought of that possibility... I’m sure the LEOs will get right on that. Not.
Durn your hide! Beat me to it!
As a side note: When John Brown attacked the arsenal at Harper’s Ferry, one of his black men was killed. The locals then threw that body to the hogs.
I saw that movie 2-3x, and remember that scene. It always stuck with me that “hogs aren’t your friends”.
I watched the first season. Good point. Let’s distribute the newly-added to hog farms for a “farm tour”. Heh.
Actually, I’m kinda “sick”, so I enjoy the humor, too... LOL.
That’s a word for it, too. But so is “coos,” “twat” and “snatch”.
With 500-700lb hogs - boars especially and sows w/ litters - you never go near them. Once you’re down, they’ll kill you. An experienced grower never puts himself in danger, intentionally, unless he’s got a death wish.
A fella was driving in the country and passed a farm
and noticed that one of the pigs only had three legs
so he stopped and asked the farmer about it.
the farmer told him the pig had saved his life on
one occasion and had alerted his family to a fire
in their barn. The man asked him if he lost his leg
in the fire and the farmer replied,
“Heck no, but a pig like that, you don’t eat all at once.”
Reminded me of John Ross’s novel “Unintended Consequences”, c1996.
For bacon lovers, I recommend quickly stocking up on your bacon supply and then wait, say 6 months, before buying bacon unless you’re the curious sort. ;-)
i’m putting a pack of this on them
let them see how it feels unless gramps was crotchety then maybe up their sweet feed..lol
The hogs got word of the upcoming farmer shortage and decided to stock up.
Anne Archer topless...a must see..and human eating hogs...a twofer...seriously this movie helped lure me to Colombia in the very early 80s in search of emerald wealth
I put 50-lbs away at $3.49/lb last summer; now it’s up to $8.29/lb here.
Several really hungry 500-lb’ers will make short work of a 200-lb man. That’s just a “snack”, to them.
The hogs were upset because they saw what Texas A&M did to Arkansas.
To quote the last line of the film “Babe”......”That’ll do, pig.”
LOL!
This looks interesting:

My dad fed cattle and raised hogs. Hogs will eat anything, including their young. We had a Berkshire sow who chased me and my dad across the feedlot several times. We kept a pitchfork in reach to stab her in the nose.
Hogs are nasty creatures! And yes, they’d eat a human.
