——Garners remains were examined on Saturday by a pathologist who was unable to determine how the man died. A forensic anthropologist at the University of Oregon will also examine his remains.-——

How in the hell are you supposed to determine cause of death with a few body parts left over....

A coroner is a political official and does not even have to be a doctor; if he is not a pathologist, he will need one to perform the autopsy.

How in the hell are you supposed to determine cause of death with a few body parts left over....They'll want to examine the area for obvious things such as bullet fragments, shell casings, bloody tool handle, etc. Just keep the hogs penned in, and periodically sweep the area with a metal detector. Beyond that, everything is circumstantial.

How in the hell are you supposed to determine cause of death with a few body parts left over..Oops. I realize now what you meant. He could conceivably have been murdered then thrown into the pen in attempt to get rid of the evidence. Or he could have died of a heart attack while inside the pen. I hope the hogs have a good lawyer. :)
