The loss is on Tiger....he was the only one that sucked while the US got their big lead.
Tiger and Stricker played eight matches in all and scored 1/2 point. Unbelievable.
Tiger shot 5 under on the back nine in both fourball matches. That is not really bad. If Stricker had given him any help, they could have won.
Stricker deserves more blame, IMO; but both were disappointing. I don’t think the USA will win the cup again any time soon. I doubt I’ll watch it next time.
If you watched the matches, Tiger gets a B, Stricker gets an F.
In 4 ball, Stricker and Woods played together twice and lost both matches 1 up with Woods getting 13 birdies in 2 matches and Stricker getting 1 eagle and 1 birdie in 2 matches. Stricker was 0-4. Woods was 0-3-1. The real problem was Woods got stuck with Stricker for 3 pairings.
Ok, maybe Woods should have gotten 17 birdies in 2 matches and then Woods would be 2-1-1 and Stricker would have been 2-2-0.
