Just starting now. It's supposed to have English subtitles.
Oh, thanks so much. Works great.

Infographic: What triggered the Fast and Furious controversy?
http://univisionnews.tumblr.com/post/13785347383/infographic-what-triggered-the-fast-and-furious
This was only the first in a series of reports on Operation Fast and Furious.
Holy cow! Now they are showing Maripily dancing! (Ahem...distracting.)
Something strikes me as odd about this. It’s an assumption (based of course on POLLS) that the latino/hispanic vote is 99% for Obama. Given the very professional but hard questioning he received on Univision a couple of weeks ago and the aggressive reporting they’re doing on F & F...it makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
I’d love to know what the viewing numbers are for this show.
It sounds like they are well informed from what you’re saying. That is a very good thing!
At the ABC/Univision site it is a 9 minute clip. Is that the whole thing? Is this a show, or just a portion of the Spanish “nightly news?”
From the thread at Hot Air:

Just saw the report by Univision. Ramos NEVER mentioned Eric My People Holder being declared in Contempt of Congress and Executive Privilege being asserted on the documents Issa asked for.
Ramos from Univision is BIASED on this report, leading to the conclusion of circling the wagons around Obama, the One that granted amnesty to illegal immigration. The only thing Ramos states at the end is how INFLEXIBLE the American people are about their (Ramos I believe is a U.S. citizen) Second Amendment and how Americans opposed gun control laws. Well, Ramos, this is the United States of America, not the United States of Mexico where there is no Second Amendment and Mexicans cannot defend themselves from crime. The corrupt police, army, and government in their country is at fault for not allowing people to defend themselves. The ENFORCEMENT of existing laws are key, no gun regulations, which apparently Obama and his cronies wanted to do by allowing the arms to walk to Mexico.

I don't think anybody believes it is 99%, or anything like that. 60% maybe, worst case 65%. There are MILLIONS of Hispanics who are conservative and vote that way. New Mexico has a majority Hispanic population and yet elected Tea-Partier Susana Martinez Governor in 2010.
Unlike our media who will not show “disturbing” images, they did show video of killings in addition to lots of after incident pictures without masking. This was intended to get a visceral reaction from those who viewed it.
They have the contacts to get at the story from the Mexican side of the border. Someplace our MSM has not been willing to go. I also learned there is information that at least one office in Mexico knew of the ATF program and they were involved in some way more in making money on the drugs than they were in worrying about the guns.
Considering coverage by Vintage USA Media, any light shining on the situation is a good thing.
That was very damning to the Obama Administration. Thanks for the link.
You appear to be asking the question that has been bugging me.
If the audience for this show is large enough, it could go viral in the Hispanic community.
If I learned that the US government had been smuggling weapons into the country of my origin, where friends and family still lived, I would be livid.
The only question is whether I would see through the meme of “Bush started it”. Under Bush, they tried something completely different, and stopped when it failed.
Under Obama, it was completely out of control. And I wonder that if the Hispanic community ever “gets it”’ they will turn against Obama.
Not willing is right because they can get all the access they want.
Pat Caddell slams the media: They have become an enemy of the people (video 26:00)
Many thanks for that link. I copied off the full text into a doc file for reference later. Sure wish the English subtitles worked, but the pictures showed the damage done to the US/Mexico relations by this despicable administration.
I would like to know what Obama said in his clip; it’s not shown in the translate.
Even if they do accept the (completely bogus) idea that Bush did it too will they really let 0bowdown off the hook for letting 1,500+ guns get into cartel hands and 300+ people murdered with those guns? I’m not sure they will want to drink that much Kool-Aid.
If it is what he said in his Univision interview, he essentially blamed Bush, saying that it was something he inherited from the previous administration.
You should be able to find a transcript of that interview with a search.
Re your “Unlike our media who will not show disturbing images”, that is so true!
I have found Univision more visually honest in its presentations, generally.
ABC news had a video with english subtitles but only 9 minutes long... Anyword when the whole hour be up.
