I did. My area was getting bad. 3 stabbings and countless armed robberies in a 5 mile radius around the house. Sold it for a loss and moved.
Where I moved the police never visit. They don’t have a reason to.
I’m stuck for now. Sure, I will lose money if I sell. I’m resigned to that. But I can’t afford a decent place elsewhere. If I hang on to age 65, I may be able to get into a senior community. A few places take the disabled, but my income is just over the limit. At 65, I will have more choices.
