I do not know if Dr. Savage's fellow PhD and good friend from KGO days, that started Savage's career, is the replacement but everyone is in for a treat while he is on.

Dr. Bill Wattenburg was a nuclear weapons designer at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; a member of the US Air Force Scientific Advisory Board; and a UC Berkeley professor of electrical engineering. He is a long time talk show host tending conservative and a close friend of Dr. Savage.

Dr. Wattenberg, has the IQ without the narcissism, self-indulgence, self-promotion, and self-pity of Savage (much of the time). Dr. Wattenberg brooks no nonsense from callers but without exploding into a rage.

He was on Saturday late-night for years in San Francisco. Hated by the left wing dingbats. None could rattle him, none could touch him.

On Savage’s website was an article that said he was already talking to other networks and stations.

Since he is #2 (IIRC) on online listeners, he should consider just setting up an internet station during the interim.

There are several ‘do your own’ broadcast services on the web.

Yes he is no Savage but I loved his explanation about what dirty bombs are and an EMP may not be the end. I'd have to listen again and maybe see it in writing why we could survive an EMP to understand.

The dirty bomb you just shower afterwards.. and if the area is worth the effort you clean it up and haul away the radioactive stuff. But I guess the city would not like us flushing all the radioactive stuff down the drain.

Bill Cunningham has 7:00PM to 10:00PM live Sundays west coast time. If Savage is starting his own Internet network I hope he does not intend to compete against Cunningham on Sundays.

(Though a fellow hillbilly Cunningham is not one of my favorites but he does good -- and at one time thought very highly of Savage until Savage exploded against a caller for saying "You are a great American" and telling the caller to never call his show again. "You are a great American" is a trademark of Cunningham's that his friend Hannity also uses.

Savage's anger quickly shifted to Hannity and attorney Mark Levin without naming them -- Cunningham, also an attorney, thought Savage was calling him all those nasty names and questioning his abilities as an attorney. Cunningham played Savage's rant to open the show for two weeks.)
