The Tea Party is regularly ridiculed and declared "dead" by the mainstream press and their elitist allies in Washington and Hollywood. Not surprisingly, when Tea Partiers show up and rally by the thousands, they get all but ignored, while 30 Occupy Wall Street crazies in masks will always get wall-to-wall coverage and admiration. TV shows and movies take cheap shots at Tea Party conservatives, often linking them to murder-of-the-week cases on insipid crime procedurals or dismissing them as birthers. But a new Associated Press poll shows tea party supporters may have the last laugh in November.

Vote as you wish, but you’ve got all Electoral college haters, like Fred Thompson, just waiting to pounce on another EC vs Popular Vote contest.
We need to win decisively in both tallies. Every vote does count this time through.
On Nov. 7th, after the R&R landslide, I ‘m going to say, “It’s morning again, in America”.
The Tea Party!
The pollsters are basing their turnout model on 2008, when the Tea Party never existed. They refuse to use the D+0 or D+1 turnout of 2010, based on exit polling. Rasmussen is closest but even he has D+2.
We all know this election won’t be a D+7 or higher turnout model for the Dems. In fact, they seem quite unenthused. With 41 million very enthused Republican (”very likely”) voters who are not being accounted for in the current polling models, you can certainly see where this is going to affect the presidential and down-tickets a lot, just like 2010. It’s not like these voters lost interest in the last two years...
I am counting on a CHICK FIL-A day on election day. The polling is not on our side but it was the same way in 1980. I am betting it will be a happy day in America.

Yeah, I really felt like Chick-Fil-A Day was a harbinger of things to come on November 7th. There’s a gigantic amount of frustration built up out there, and I think we’ll see wormsign the likes of which even God has never seen on election day.
My thought exactly. Failure to win the popular vote could result in undermining the Electoral College system. This is the only thing that stops the liberals from victory in every election by stealing millions of votes in states dominated by liberals. Our Founders INTENDED to limit the ability of the larger states to dominate the smaller. They knew there could be a problem.
You are a complete idiot.
And if Obama wins, we'll be saying, "It's mourning again in America."
Amen!
Mentioned the Tea Party in passing the other day to someone and she said, “Are they still around?” The media have done a great job of making people think it’s disappeared. I offered to send her the link and she said, “I don’t have a computer.” What can you do with people like that, who get all their “info” from TV?
I'm with you . . . Doc.
The reason why they hate and marginalize the Tea party is because it is the thing they are truly fearful of, and this included Sarah Palin.
Masses of ordinary people rebelling against socialistic agendas, Marxism, communism.
To them the Tea Party must be whipped into submission before Communism can thrive in America, if not the people will revolt and tear down the figurative Berlin Wall Obama is building.
Right now the most patriotic activity in America IS being a Tea Party member.
“While we still have the SEIU to deal with,...”
The fat SEIU cows have already been confronted in my district, and they ran.
That’s why I can’t understand any Libertarian or Republican agreeing with the popular vote chorus.
You wanna break up the union? Then let the majority of states get dictated to by the population and media centers on the east and west coasts. When they find they’re values and concerns are no longer even discussed, there will be no other recourse.
Good for you. That cow that was on the video is disgusting.
Can you hear us now?
It's similar to the argument regarding "democracy". The U.S. is not a "democracy", it is a "constitutionally limited democratic republic".
Our Founders understood the difference, the difference is dramatic, and the evils of democracy are what we are witnessing every day here.
The down ticket is in jeopardy and you aren't helping it.
