I owe everyone here an an apology for falsely believing and then promoting the idea that Romney had the ability to unify the country and create a grander GOP coalition. He did not. I am fully behind him (only GOP candidate on ballot), but can only see a narrow GOP win (if we all pull the lever). Having said that, I am also certain that this was never a moment for a polarizing figure (like Palin). To defeat Obama by a big margin, we needed an inspirational/charismatic conservative (Paul Ryan type). We did not have that choice. Oh well....lest vote and get Romney in by a squeaker!! Then, solve the larger electoral problem in the next cycle or two.
Agreed.
I’ll never vote for health of the mother abortion, homosexual Boy Scout leaders, Romneycare, or amnesty.
I’m not voting for Mitt.
Palin had the guts to attack the Punk on his corruption and failures, unlike Romney. She is fearless on the stump, and I am tired of the Marxist b*****d being treated with respect. Bob
Gingrich was on the ballot, but the Santorum morons just couldn’t let it go.
Sorry Donna, I love my kids too much to not do my part to defeat the Kenyan enemy of America’s freedom. One need not love Mitt, and I don’t. Bob
Without the dumping of the wives, Newt MIGHT have won. But he had no chance, with or w/o Santorum. Bob
Calling out and calling names never wins national elections. That is the GOP problem, right now.
mittens is gonna win by a landslide because obama’s so despised. only rinos and democRATS think Palin is polarizing, just like they think that all principled Conservatives are polarizing, like Reagan, Mr. NOOT, Herman Cain, etc. Now, if you want to see polarizin’, visualize 0bama.
Gingrich would have torn the MSM and Barry Boy to pieces by now. Warts and all he is and was hands down our best in this election cycle.
> Im not voting for Mitt.
If the ballot had the choice “Anyone but Obama” you wouldn’t select it, right?
“Calling out and calling names never wins national elections. That is the GOP problem, right now”........examples, please. please & thank you.
I don’t know that liberal Republicans or even some moderate Republicans would have supported Palin like conservatives lined up to support Romney, so you’re probably correct. If one believes it takes democrats for Republicans to win, it is doubtful they would ever vote for Palin, whereas the might for liberal Mitt.
Calling names and calling out is all Obama does. We don’t even have to lie when we do it. Truth is an ally. BTW, I agree with you that name-calling is pointless. But, e.g., Romney conceding the phony 8.1% jobless rate, when the real numbers exceed 11% is just plain gutless. Mitt MUST call out Obama’s lies.
You are wrong about Palin, she is a unifier, not a divider, that is media talk, she could have led McCain to victory.
Only unifiers become perhaps the most popular governor in American history, and she did that while being a reformer, and fighting both parties in her state.
Palin as Governor, reached a 93% approval rating, and ran a sustained approval rating in the low to high 80%, she was a true unifier.
Conservative Candidates don’t rely on liberal/moderate Republicans to win elections. Voters crawl out of the woodwork to vote for principled Conservative Candidates. Think Reagan, the Gingrich Revolution, and the ‘10 midterms.
I’ve thought about voting for Liberal Milt long and hard all week long.”NOT”. When Sarah wasnt invited to the RNC by Liberal Milt that done it for me. It’ll be a cold day in hell before i vote for a liberal..
Conservatives support Romney because 0bama is so horrible. Romney has nothin’ to do with it. Mittens just happens to be standin’ there.
Romney appears to have about as much enthusiasm for campaigning as a slightly warm bucket of spit.
VOTE FOR ROMNEY! MITT, MITT HE’S OUR MAN IF HE DON’T DO IT OBASTARD WILL. YEA MITT!
Contact your county Pubbie organization and volunteer to get out the vote for MITT!!!
sigh....another poster takes yet another ding at Palin.
at a time like this, taking pot shots at the “big tent” where it’s ALL HANDS ON DECK is just so counter productive.
