With some notable exceptions, businessmen favor free enterprise in general but are opposed to it when it comes to themselves.

Mark Chappell says he's a lifelong Republican who will be voting for Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow.

Yup. Call me when the DeVos boys say they’re voting for Stupidcow and I’ll worry.

The lefties never know when to slow it down. Their obvious attempt is becoming comical.

She's got his back on an important issue: China trade violations, from currency manipulation to making knock-offs of American products. The dems stole what could have been a really good political position from the stupid party.

Big time.
Dems are stealing the next election right now.
Because the GOP is asleep.
GOP wake up and buy American.
Now.

Fortunately, it’s just Michigan. Stabenow and Obama are up by huge margins, even in the Rasmussen polls.

Kinda goes back to what we spoke about before regarding manufacturing and taxation.
Our governor did cut business property taxes a while back which is good but doesn’t go near far enough.

Romney was supposed to be the kind of Republican who could compete seriously for his native Midwest; doesn’t seem to be the case yet. People in the Midwest are still looking for a check in the mail or at least a cell phone telling them help is on the way.

Reminds me of a scene from
Class. Andrew McCarthy is talking with businessman Cliff Robertson, the father of his roommate Rob Lowe.
"Yes sir, I agree with you that free trade is the way to go. No tariffs..."
"Oh no son, you got to have tariffs!"

What you meant to say is, the Dems are better at catering to special interests than Repubs.

According to Newsmeat, this so called "lifelong Republican" has been donating to Stabenow since 2004. And not once to a Republican. This guy needs to be flooded with phone calls asking him why he is a damn liar.

Thanks cripplecreek.
She's got his back on an important issue: China trade violations, from currency manipulation to making knock-offs of American products. Alexander Dodds Co. makes woodworking machines for high-end furniture.
As if Stab-me-now will or can do anything about that. This is just more astroturf.

Seriously, calling oneself a “lifelong Republican” who is now voting for a Democrat, is almost ritually a lie. Every time I read that, sure enough, it is some long time Democrat pretending to be a Republican.

We used to call them Republican butts. They would preface every statement with “I’m a Republican but...” Most every time it was discovered that they were Democrats, some lifelong. I guess they’re dusting that one off.

Exactly.
One such poster on a message board I caught in that lie, claiming she was a registered Republican who was going to vote for McCain until he chose Palin for his running mate. It was then she said that she switched over to the Obama camp. I got a little suspicious and looked up her posting history. Sure enough, MONTHS before Palin was nominated I saw her many different times declaring her support and intention to vote for Obama. I posted my findings on the thread and she responded to that by blocking me so that I couldnt look up her posting history anymore.
