McMahon was as much an entertainer as a player on the field. Wonder what he thinks (if he still can) about all the headbutts he would exchange with his offensive line after a touchdown or a big play.
Me too - maybe we should be worried ;)
McMahon was very susceptible to concussions in his last years. He could not take much of a hit.
I hate it when that happens.
I am 50 years old. Last night I was watching TV and during the commercial I could not remember what show I was watching. I have never played contact sports. It’s what happens when you age. Also, has anyone connected these problems with the lifestyle these guys have? Steroids? Supplements? Muscle builders? Pain killers? Drug habits?

One case in point...Cassius Clay.
Me too. I mostly attribute it to my self involvement and lack of attention paying but maybe it’s something else altogether. (:
neurosurgery of neuropathology = neurosurgery or neuropathology
Only stands to reason that if you get your bell rung - a lot - that there will be consequences both short term and long term. We didn’t know that many years ago but we know it now. I think that the “Science is Settled” to quote the AGW crowd :)
Not accusing McMahon, but how many of these players with dementia type problems also used alcohol and drugs after they left the NFL? Forgetfulness is one of the effects of alcoholism.
So shut up, Joe, and be thankful that the worst problem you have is a cranky prostate...
I feeeeel sorry for all of them afletes,,,

Article states he lead Bears to Super Bowl win in ‘86!
Didnt happen. Giants won in 1986.
Lazy journalist!
I wonder if his claim of memory problems is related to his current money problems?
My wife calls it my “sometimers”.
I was going to post something...but then forgot what it was..

A lot of you are writing off his forgetfulness or making light of it.
My dad was like this two years ago, and now he is fully unable to participate in life any more except to be watched like a child and see people and eat. My dad the vibrant person is gone. Alzheimer’s can go very fast; he has significantly declined this summer alone.
They say that over half of 85 year olds have it. So take this poor guy seriously. And hope that he can get it under control so that his decline is slower than my dad’s.
Now I've got better memory than any 20 year old! :)
In fact, my phone just reminded me that tonight is the first showing of "Last Resort". :)
Jim has friends? Who knew? lolbnr
