Six churches in Buffalo were the target of a rock-throwing rampage and inflammatory messages about homosexuality regarding religion and sexual orientation. Police have arrested a 30-year-old man who said he hurled rocks and left offensive messages about homosexuality at several churches in one west metro community due to "his anger with God." Police in Buffalo say doors and windows were broken with rocks between noon and 3 p.m. Monday at four church buildings -- St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Seventh-day Adventist, Hosanna Lutheran (Missouri Synod) and Buffalo United Methodist. Posters with inflammatory messages dealing with religion and sexual orientation were left starting Saturday night at two of those churches -- St. Francis and Hosanna Lutheran -- and two others, Zion Lutheran (ELCA) and Buffalo Presbyterian, said Chief Mitchell P. Weinzetl.

Homosexuality was categorized as a mental disease until the 1970s.
Apparently this guy was anti-homo.
You’re the one that’s uninformed....
The Catholic Church does NOT support a gay clergy.....
This guy was true ecumenical.
By “all”, you mean “none”.
Sorry.
I see “rainbow flags” outside many of them (ELCA and Methodist churches) here in the Twin Cities.
This guy gets caught after an intense investigation, and yet, the homo-anarchists who vandalized and terrorized a Portland Church are still at large and probably won’t face any consequences.
When did we become this insane?
“Buffalo United Methodist”
Yeah, talk about friendly fire.
“The Catholic Church does NOT support a gay clergy.....”
Well, not officially at least.
The Luthern Church listed was Missouri Synod, not ELCA, and they are orthodox with regard to homosexuality.
Homosexuality is a mental disorder
Correct. Missouri Synod is not ELCA.
I’m tired of my church getting lumped in with the pro-homosexual denomination, just because both have “Lutheran” in their name. The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) strongly opposes any form of gay marriage and gay clergy, and stands fast against the homosexual agenda while the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has given in and recently voted to officially recognize and promote gay clergy and gay marriage.
That being said, we are all sinners and as Christians we have an obligation to pray for and witness the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ to this angry man rather than lashing out in anger. “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” Matthew 5:44
Every gay person I have known has suffered from some sort of personality disorder.
Whoops, bad timing makes it look like I’m accusing you. I was composing my response when you posted your latest. My apologies.
I know it's correct, that's why I said it. And that's why your observation about rainbow flags outside ELCA churches was totally irrelvant.
1. The messages are hidden. : Weinzetl declined to give specific examples of what the messages contained, other than to characterize them as "inflammatory" and add that "the word gay is mentioned, and there are other terms mentioned that would be derogatory to people of a homosexual nature. ... And it probably doesn't take a genius to figure out what those words may be."
If they were clearly anti-gay, the media wouldn't 'decline to give specific examples'.
2. Also mentioned in the article,
Jarvis said he found a poster taped to the church door with "very vile language describing Jesus as a homosexual."
Does that sound anti-gay to you?
Conclusion: This is the work of a member of the oh, so tolerant, Pink Mafia.
Why don't you join your brethren who pasted the slurs and threw the rocks....
You took a news article about someone bashing churches and joined them philosophically...
