I am sure any honest assessment would show that unions have in the past provided services. Who knows, we might not have things like OSHA if it were not for unions.
But like anything, it can be done to extremes. Others, I am sure, including you yourself know way more about the history than I do.
I see it as six of one and half a dozen of the other. For instance, go into a supermarket and walk down the cereal aisle, you’ll see hundreds of brands. Then you slowly realize that it’s only about two, maybe three corporations that manufacture 98% of them. I would think that the only industry that had this sort of concentration in early America was the shipping industry.
So who knows, I can’t speak for anybody else, I can only speak for myself.

I totally agree with you. People are particularly screwming about one horrible call. The ‘regular’ refs are positively horrible every Sunday as well! They are horrible! And everyone is glad they’re back. Ugh. Not me.
Agreed. The only difference now is that the terrible calls will now be in FAVOR of the Pats and the Packers instead of against them. A refreshing change for a few weeks with the replacement refs...

The replacement refs should have unionized. Now they’re out of work. Roger Godell is once again ruining the middle class. /s
The only reason they settled is because of the huge blowback from last weeks’ game loss for the Packers.
So why did my team, who has a real chance to win the Super Bowl, have to be the victim of the stupidity of some sub officials who couldn’t find their way out of a paper bag? Why couldn’t it have been the Vikings or the Bears?
Don’t forget the Obamaburg Steelers on that list of those benefitting from more favorable calls.
