TOLEDO, Ohio Mitt Romney, while campaigning in Ohio on Wednesday, highlighted the healthcare law that he passed while governor of Massachusetts as proof of his empathy for people.
I think throughout this campaign as well, we talked about my record in Massachusetts, don't forget I got everybody in my state insured, Romney told NBC News in an interview before he headlined a rally here. One hundred percent of the kids in our state had health insurance. I don't think there's anything that shows more empathy and care about the people of this country than that kind of record.

All of that is the Fed leaning on the state.
The Difference between Ca and Tx is that Ca embraces the relationship.

The man gives 30% of his income to charity. I think he is more compassionate than Ogumby
Then why didn't Romney state that? Romney uses an example of government coercion as an example of his compassion instead of private charity.

I know this.
If you don’t vote for Romney/Ryan and everyone down ticket, you will get 4 more years of Obama and some very ****ty SCOTUS picks

One character flaw that Zipper-Boy Clinton, Arrogant Candy-Ass Dictator Obama and Mittens from Mass. share is that they all have an extreme craving to be liked.
This narcissistic trait reduces their minds to mush, and renders them worthless as Leaders that we would follow into the Gates Of Hell.
Romney might make it as a leader, as he had a strong Father as a role model. This last “Love me, Love Romneycare” BS raises a lot of doubt, however.
Right you are about Bradford. The earliest Christians also tried the communal way, with bad results.
The last gasp of modern communal proponents rest with two men: Dear Leader, the younger, and Dear Brother, the little bit younger.

Mitt is a moron. What is compassionate about giving away other people’s money? I will never understand that mindset. It must just be cover for people who won’t admit they want to plunder others.

Politicians tend to be narcissistic.
Obama sure is.
I don’t see Romney in that light.
Half the reason folks on this thread are bitching is because he won’t stand up and yell “LOOK AT ME”!!
He strikes me as tough, but fair (a conservative curse)
Obama comes off as a self centered charlatan punk ass 3 card monte operator

He is no socialist.
He didn’t steal either.
He just conducted legal business.

Obama said many wonderful things before he was elected as well. I don t trust either one. Once in office Mitt could turn on a dime as did Obamass.
Sure he could, but what would his turn look/be like compared to obama's? We saw the destruction obama unleashed on this nation. In fact plenty of what obama put in place has not even come on line yet.
obama has nothing to hold him back from finishing off the American dream if he is reelected.
Did you see DeSouza's movie?

He only gave 30% of his salary in 2011 filing. His charitable deductions in all the previous years averaged a little under 14%. In my opinion that is still charitable.

Obama will go scorched earth if he is re elected.
He has nothing to lose.

In fact Romney is implicitly stating "Look at me", "Look at me" leftists and center-leftists, I agree with the fact that government coercion is a form of compassion, see, look what I did in Massachusetts?
It's as if Lenin stated, "Look, I'm compassionate, I fight for the proleteriat, there will be no more evil capitalists exploiting the working class." Now, I'm not saying that Romney is a Leninist, but he implicitly accepts a watered down form of socialism, and then tries to ingratiate himself with those of a leftist bent.
,br> What Romney should do is use the emotionalism of the left against itself, state the obvious, "everybody wants good healthcare" but then segue into the fact the best way to get good healthcare is to not legislate quasi-socialist healthcare bureaucracy but by unleashing the power of the free market, transparency, property rights, etc., he can use the same model for education, etc and all the other topics leftists use to champion there cause. Leftists appeal to emotion a lot better than conservatives, and if Romney was smart he could use the emotionalism of the left against itself by pointing to history and the intellectual arguments of the right. Instead he seems to implicitly accept the moral matrix of the left.

“Staying home is NOT an option.”
I'm staying home with a Bailey's Irish Creme and filling out my mail ballot which I should get within a day or so. Romney will get our state electoral votes but I'm not voting for him and neither did I vote for McCain. If a conservative ever runs for President, I'll vote for him.
Now call me a troll, a Paulbot, a hater of Romney, a hater in general, a Democrat - I don't care.

You might want to check out Romneys picks for judges when he was Gov.

Hey, I voted for Paul in the Primary just to deny Romney the nomination, and to try to get things to a contested convention.
I tried to use Paul as a stop gap.
I would never vote for the loon in the General election.
Romney has my vote at this junction.
To not vote is a vote for Ogumby.

You might want to check out Romneys picks for judges when he was Gov. Well, being the governor of one of the most left-leaning states, Romney could argue that none of the more conservative judges would be approved anyway, so why try? He should have tried though, at least to show what Massachusetts could have had if it had a little more sanity.

Agreed. He will be free to do as he pleases. obama has been busy consolidating as much power as he can in the executive branch. Turning Congress Republican may not be as significant as some around here think it is if obama is reelected.
