I went through a long phase of approx age 12 thru 16 when I ate like a pig, it seemed as if I could not get enough and was always skinny, still am but I eat more rationally now. Every body metabolizes food differently. You’re right, there is no “one size fits all” some kids just need more than others to keep those pangs away.

this makes me sick, When I was in school 1966-1977 all our meals were homemade from scratch, And they were wonderful. Fried chicken, Pot pies,meatloaf,hamburger pie, steak, mashed potatoes, gravy,green beans,vegetable soup,grilled cheese sandwich,hamburgers,fries,peanut butter cookies, cinnamon rolls,chocolate cake, no bake cookies,apple crisp,rolls etc. I still love that food and can still smell the food cooking and starving.
