Barry....We are no longer the biggest manufacturer and Union wages keep our products too high priced and company taxes are too high.

And so......companies move overseas...

There’s another factor in why companies are moving their production overseas. I’ve never seen it discussed, but I’ve been running smack into it the past several weeks.

I have been trying for more than 6 weeks to find a clothing manufacturer to produce my designs. I wanted to go with an American company, mainly out of principle. I’ve tried contacting at least a dozen companies, many of which even said in their advertising that they work with start-ups and small orders. In all those weeks, one message came back as undeliverable, and one wrote back saying they’re not set up for the materials I used.

The rest? Nothing. No reply. Not a peep, not a whisper.
Hey, US factory owners! If you refuse to talk to the people trying to hire you, THEY CAN’T HIRE YOU!!!!!!!!

I’m giving the last batch I tried until Friday to respond, and then I’m going to start looking overseas. How is a business supposed to run if all I’m getting from manufacturers is the silent treatment?
