I thought he died a few weeks ago.Sad...he did some good stuff.
Soooo sad. He seemed a good man.
Loved his voice (and his snowflake sweaters).
RIP.

I am profoundly saddened by this news. The world is a better place for his having passed through; a sadder place for his having passed on. He had class — and that is a rare commodity in today’s world.
RIP Moon River.
I used to love his Christmas specials as a little girl.
I think if men knew how much women appreciate guys who can sing, there would be a whole lot more guys taking voice lessons.

One of the first albums I ever had was Andy Williams......
Wow. We would sit for hours listening to the records my dad had of him.
Rest in Peace, Andy.
from Wikipedia:
While close friends with the Democratic Kennedys, Williams is a lifelong Republican. On September 29, 2009, Williams was quoted by the Daily Telegraph as accusing President Barack Obama of “following Marxist theory” and “wanting the country to fail”. He gave Rush Limbaugh permission to use his recording of the song “Born Free” for the theme to the “Animal Rights Update” on his Limbaugh’s radio show in which a portion of the song is then followed by gunfire saying “Hey, it’s fine with me. I love what you’re doing with it.”
Rest in peace Mr. Williams.
I know he saw things from our side politically, but my uncle who worked in a hotel where lots of celebrities stayed found him to be one of the most arrogant and unpleasant men he ever met. Must’ve been pretty bad because he kept telling the story years after he retired, which he would not have done with most people.
Good singer. Good man. Murderess, Claudine Longet, didn’t deserve his loyalty.
So long Andy. RIP.
I do not know the details of Andy’s death, but I do know that bladder cancer is very treatable if caught early.
If you see blood in your urine GO TO A DOCTOR.
If your doctor gives you antibiotics, GO TO A UROLOGIST.
In this case, modesty kills.
“Moon River”. “Love Story”. “Born Free”. “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year”.
The Andy Williams Christmas Special.
Memories of a childhood long past. The world is a gray place.
RIP, Andy, and thank you.
God bless, you, Andy Williams. And thank you on this Rosh Hashanah. May the sound of the shofar awaken us all from our slumbers and alert us to the coming judgment.

His greatest accomplishment was introducing the world to The Flying Silverman Brothers.
We listened to this tape on a summer vacation to Glacier Park and Banff.
