BURLESON -- A 3-month-old boy who died Monday evening after being mauled by his father's dog had been asleep on a bed inside the house when he was attacked, police officials said Tuesday. Burleson police officers had been at the house in the 200 block of Linda Drive in connection with a domestic dispute between the infant's parents when the mauling occurred. Officers administered emergency aide to the baby, Rayden Bruce, until paramedics arrived but the infant was pronounced dead at 8:29 p.m. Monday at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.

Amazing, isn’t it, how some people will take the side of dogs over humans, particularly in defending pit bulls.
I knew when I read the headline that it wasn’t a poodle.
Sheesh.
It's apparent that you missed the point I was making.
OK, I'm going to respond, with the disclaimer that I am NOT making a personal attack on you.
Your response is very much like the reasoning and responses we see from the lefty extremists when confronted on global warming. It is also similar to the way they act when shown the impact of drilling in ANWR. Or when they see a single blind beetle where a power plant needs to go.
Do you understand the principle of logic that states one does not go from the micro to the macro? Do you know what that means?
Again, this is not a personal attack, but your reasoning and response has no foundation in logic, only emotion.
Thanks, that was interesting. Ours is supposedly an American Bulldog/Basset mix. No idea what difference is in American and Pit bull though.
Some were bred to fight other dogs. I seriously doubt anyone bred them to eat babies. Get a grip. Your hatred is consuming your ability to reason.
You’re welcome.
I (perversely) enjoy throwing a post in these pit bull threads. Same thing happens every time.
As usual, most people flip out and can’t focus on anything but a dog. See if anyone actually responds (without foaming at the mouth) to my points about the doubtful accuracy of most reporting, etc. Nope. PB threads look more like something one sees on DU about taking guns from law abiding people.
No wonder we are losing to the fascists libs. Once you get many conservatives riled up, the logical part of their brain goes into a coma and emotion rules.
There are 300 million people in this country. If you weed out the inaccurate reporting and take what is left over and put it in perspective of that number, things *should* look a lot different.
Liberal reporters (redundant, I know) are ignorant and lie like rugs. Yet let one of them put the words “pit bull” into a story and shazaam, from God’s mouth to their ears.
Dogs are supposed to be companions to man . These animals have been turned into self propelled, spontaneous activating anti-personal mines by the owners & the breeders . Find both the owner & the breeder & put them under the jail for life.
Yes, you are quite right, they are rare. Thanks for repeatedly pointing that out.
Who is it that is defending this dog?
Put 'em all down. If it looks like a pit bull, and acts like a pit bull, it's a pit bull.
My pittie is a love monkey. His attack mode is to lick his prey to death.
I’m curious about the long amount of time the cops spent there in relation to the dog ‘suddenly attacking’ the baby.
Something seems...odd.
Aww, are the big mean scary pit bulls giving you nightmares? I guess we’d better ban them all, we’ll put em on the list right under those big mean scary assault rifles that the liberals wet their pants over.
You’re welcome.
“PB threads look more like something one sees on DU about taking guns from law abiding people.”
Not exactly the same thing. A pit’s instincts can kick in and do things that no one would have ever imagined it would do. A gun has no instincts and can’t get pissed and start shooting. Everytime something like this happens, the dog owner will usually say, “he’s never, ever, ever acted like that before! Cupcake is always so lovey dovey and will lick people to death.”
Obviously dogs are different than guns, everyone knows that.
It is the response that is similar.
That response being to call for the ban of the perceived offensive object.
Dogs in one case, guns in the other.
In both cases the banner refuses to acknowledge the human responsibility for the tragic occurrence.
The drive-by shooter irresponsibly sprays the street with bullets and a baby is killed.
Someone in the Burleson house left a baby alone with a dog,
an irresponsible act no matter what the type of dog, and a baby is killed.
Than you. You expressed what I was trying to say much better.
