This is the day that You have made, Father. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Though the times are unsettling and uncertainty about the future looms over us, yet we trust in Your Holy and Awesome Name, knowing that You never change. You are the same: yesterday, today, and forever. How awesome it is that You are the One we can always count on to remain steadfast and true---faithful, dependable, trustworthy, always ready to defend us, protect us, help us, and encourage us. There is none like You, Lord God. You are the eternal God of the universe, and yet You delight in communing with Your children. How precious are Your thoughts unto us, O Lord. How great is the sum of them. If we could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. How great is Your love for all mankind.
Father, our concerns for our country our great, and yet we know that You birthed this nation out of Your great love and Your amazing grace. And we know that no matter what problems we face, You are the answer. And so we confess that You remain the strength of this land and its people. You will not abandon us in our time of great need. We are at that time of great need right now, Father, and we cry out to You to save our land, to heal us, to restore us, and to make us that shining city on the hill once again.
Keep our troops as the apple of Your eye, Father. Hide them in the shadow of Your wings. You are their keeper, the shade at their right hand. You will preserve them from all evil. Remember them, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people and may they rejoice in the gladness of Your nation. You know the needs of each and every one, and we trust in You to provide. Use our prayers to bring Your will upon this earth, even as it is in heaven.
Bless Your people Israel, Lord, and may Your angels surround their land day and night. Help our country to stand by this precious nation, even when our leaders deny her. May there be peace in Jerusalem.
We give You, Lord, the glory due Your Name. We worship You in the beauty of Your holiness. And we look forward to the day of our Savior’s return. We pray this in the Name above all names, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
