Mitt Romney insisted his campaign is not in need of a "turnaround" in spite of polls showing President Barack Obama expanding his lead in battleground states.
In an interview with CBS's "60 Minutes," the Republican presidential nominee rejected criticism from conservative pundits who have called his campaign incompetent.
"It doesn't need a turnaround," Romney insisted, pointing to national polls that have him "tied" with Obama. "I've got a very effective campaign. It's doing a very good job."

I still havent seen you disagree with me on a single fact that I have posted about Mitt Romney on this thread.
I still haven't seen you state just who it is you are supporting. I still haven't seen you explain why you seem to think that it would be better for America to have 4 more years of 0bama than to vote in Romney to replace him. Tell us now: is Romney just as bad as 0bama? Here is your big chance Ansel, man up and tell us what you really think.
Speaking of Reagan, do you know why Romney left the republican party in 1979? Do you know why he eventually became a supporter of democrats, and even a democrat fund raiser to defeat republicans, and even voted democrat?
So would Reagan be supporting the GOP ticket this year or not?

p.s., my question is not idiotic. It’s deserving of a factual answer to those who are campaigning against the only person who can beat Obama.

As Reagan said, “There you go again.”
You spew nothing but hatred and gossip and negativity.
Go away.

“Romney had good enough campaign to beat fantastic candidates such as Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich and gov. Perry in the primaries. He will prevail in general election if people wake up and smell the coffee about what the radical socialist from Chicago is doing to the country. If not we will soon be Greece. People deserve the government they vote for.”
Mitt Romney did that basically with a lot of help from the “conservative” media that did everything it could to undermine each of our legitimate candidates. Bloody Thursday did not come from some Mittens speech, but by a coordinated attack on Newt with lying stories that no one, not even Rush, bothered to tell the truth about until after the damage had already been done. He followed it up with lying political ads, aided and abetted by the media at large. Then he was left alone with Santorum, whose campaign consisted of “God loves me more” with little to no specifics in his speeches, with big banners in the background that read “COURAGE!”, with a campaign website with an issues page that began with an article on the evils of pornagraphy, and all of this he did in the backdrop of a political campaign where open primaries and negative campaigning served to suppress the conservative vote (Romney’s states were all won with below average turnout). Essentially, Romney was handed the nomination simply because he dominated with big money and had the media on his side.
Now he is facing a candidate who is also a master of media manipulation, has near unlimited funds, and is more charismatic. And Romney, like Santorum, is on the side of having no real ideas or plans, with every thing he does support being contradicted now and then by himself directly or by his subordinates. Mittens is running as the “I’m not Obama” candidate, and I’m afraid he is so utterly an empty suit and so demonstrably a liar that winning this election, even in this economy, is going to be extraordinarily tough. All these people talking about how Willard is an awesome business man who did this or that don’t care that this “businessman” inflicted RomneyCare on his state and was in bed with the left from global warming to the war on the coal industry to tax increases (ahem* they were increased fees and closing of loopholes) to on and on and on, a miriad of job destroying political positions he embraced in other to out commie the pink-commies of his state. But because we are all supposed to be loyal Republicans before conservatives, we’re supposed to ignore this reality and just stand stupefied as we watch his campaign crash and burn when it should be leading by double digits.

You continue to drive casual observers away from you candidate (is the word candidate mentioned in the above article or is my mentioning it another form of my bigotry?) You are so superior!
You say
*I* am driving casual observers away from Romney & Ryan?
Just WTH do you and your pal Ansel12 think YOU are doing?
Here's a clue:

No one seems able to sell Mitt Romney, they don’t even try.
All that his devotees can hope for, is for anti-incumbent gravity to be in their favor and for it to carry Mitt over the finish line.

Gossip, negativity, HATE. Since when did we become a liberal support group that cares about the self-esteem of its members and spews out this kind of language? Go meditate and repeat a Krishna, or whatever you guys do. It’ll make you feel better.

No hatred and no gossip, just facts on Mitt Romney.
Facts that you do not question, you just don’t approve of freepers knowing them.

Romney will remain a "generalist", as much as he can get away with. It worked for Obama (nobody much questioned him). Specifics are expected from Republicans, so they can be picked apart. If Democrats are called out on specifics by a few, it's only to give cover for the rest (of the pom-pom wavers) who change the subject...
You have long been correct. Bad things are wrong. BLOAT and keep it dry.

So what does he do if he allows the MSM to paint him into a corner crying with a dunce hat on?
Everything is stacked against him and my advice would be Get the conservative message out.
But then he's not Conservative. Grats GOP, either way you still win with or without Romney.
And America looses either way.

No hatred and no gossip, just facts on Mitt Romney.
I had no idea you had that sort of sense of humor Ansel.
('no hatred', oh that's a real knee slapper coming from the premiere Romney-hater on FR lol)
Facts that you do not question, you just dont approve of freepers knowing them.
SO once and for all Ansel, TELL all of us what your objective truly is in posting all of these 'facts' about Mitt Romney? Are you just trying to be a helpful, informative FReeper, raising our consciousness and awareness about that wicked man? I implore you, please PLEASE tell us who we should vote for, if not Romney & Ryan on November 6th. You don't want anybody voting for him, so tell us Ansel, PLEASE tell us, who are YOU voting for, so we may all be enlightened and likewise walk in your path of conservative purity?
In other words: who are YOU supporting? It's time to show your cards, and I'm callin'.
