Staff Sgt Matthew Sitton words, before his death, asking for help:
‘As a Brigade, we are averaging at a minimum an amputee a day from our soldiers because we are walking around aimlessly through grape rows and compounds that are littered with explosives’
Staff Sgt Matthew Sitton’s Mother:
She continued: ‘Our question was not why they were there. That's not the question. We know why they were there. Our question was: Why are they doing the two-to-four-hour foot patrols in areas that are littered with bombs?’
My heart is breaking for these Brave Warriors. Please call your Congressman and Senators and demand our Troops come home! This enemy is afforded every advantage on this battlefield and our Troops are being killed, maimed and or incarcerated! This horrendous treatment of our Sons and Daughters Must End Yesterday! Stop the Foot Patrols Now and untie the hands of our military so they can have a fighting chance to win or BRING THE TROOPS HOME! This is cruel!
Again, my deepest condolences to the family of Staff Sgt Sitton and all our Gold Star Families! Thank you to Congressman Young of Florida for taking a courageous stand for our Noble Warriors.
My utmost respect and appreciation to Diana West for her continued courage in reporting the horrendous treatment of our military.
