Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) on Friday accused President Barack Obama of ushering in a second Ottoman Empire in the Middle East through his foreign policy.
Speaking on the House floor, Gohmert accused the Obama administration of allowing Iran to influence Iraq by pulling U.S. troops out, and suggested the attacks on U.S. diplomatic missions in the Middle East and North Africa are the result of waning American influence from that decision, The Hill reported.
Thank you President Barack Hussein Obama. This will be quite a legacy for you, Gohmert said. Im not one of those who says hes not a Christian. All I know is thats between him and God. But what I do know is he has helped jump start a new Ottoman Empire and left our friend and ally Israel so vulnerable in this sea of radicalism that he has helped bring to the surface.
Gohmert said a recent report showed that approval for the U.S. among those in Muslim countries had slipped from 33 percent under President George W. Bush in 2008 to now just 15 percent under Obama, according to The Hill. A Pew Research Center survey released in June noted that the median approval in Muslim nations for Obamas policies has declined over the last three years from 34 percent to 15 percent.
This president is trying to buy affection from people who are bullies, who are radical Islamists, who want to destroy us. Youre not going to get love and affection, you get contempt, Gohmert said.
Gohmert made a similar reference to a new Ottoman Empire in another floor speech earlier this month.

. .
I did see something about the Ottoman Empire, and they where much more different than the Caliphates. I think the Congressmen means that a Super Caliphate is being created and that is my gut feeling..
“OBAMA/SOETORO,” In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans.. I WILL STAND WITH THEM should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
At least he kept that promise:

Simple history, and their polished turd is in his hut.
Watch how they use oil to keep the middle man on stream to support their point man. Expensive gas? Would kill obama.
The Ottoman Empire was oppressive and corrupt, especially in its later centuries and especially towards non-Muslim subjects, but they did a few things well--some fine architecture and bridges, and they introduced coffee to the Viennese. Not exactly on purpose. But if a new caliphate is created, it won't have any redeeming qualities, however trivial.
Don’t be so sure. I think it was Beck who quoted the Turkish Prime Minister “Our mosques are our barracks, our minarets our bayonets!”
Scary times, and Gohmert has it 100% right.
the Ottomans were despotic, but fairly unzealous as far as a caliphate went. in the 18th and 19th centuries they were all about being decadent and smoking the hashish. if they had stuck around we wouldn’t have Salafi radicals clamoring for a caliphate, because the anemic Ottoman Sultan would already be their caliph.
Zero has helped put in place radical sunni islamist governments throughout the mideast. When moderate Iranians rose up to throw out the mullahs he looked the other way. Israel and Iran will go to war. Iran will be destroyed and Israel hurt. The sunni islamists will pick up the pieces and the caliphate will be restored.
Each of these groups assumes it is superior to the others and of greater worth. Right in the middle there are the Kurds ~ Salaldin took over the Empire after the Turks had softened it up subtantially. He was a Kurd yet he did nothing for his peeps ~ just left them hanging in the breeze.
——they are after a Caliphate——
You assume Arab homogeneity that doesn’t actually exist.
The real Arab power is more concerned with a growing commercial empire than a religious empire. The capital is in Dubai but the financial resources are distributed throughout the Gulf .
The others you mentioned covet that power and money and influence
