DUBAI (Reuters) - Iran could launch a pre-emptive strike on Israel if it was sure the Jewish state were preparing to attack it, a senior commander of its elite Revolutionary Guards was quoted as saying on Sunday. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, a brigadier general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, made the comments to Iran's state-run Arabic language Al-Alam television, according to a report on the network's website.

Hitler went even further. The Nazis faked a Polish attack on a German border town.
I’m worried it’ll happen while Imadinnerjacket’s in New York...
Isn’t this an opening scene in the “Left Behind Series”
If it happens, I hope it happens this way. No matter what Iran is going to get their butts handed to them.
Very true..you must be a writer.
Excuse me - joining the 7th century? There are some there that are still operating in the 6th century? This OBVIOUSLY would be an improvement!
1. An EMP strike to render all of Iran electronically and electrically deaf, dumb, and blind. This is permanent and puts the Iranians back in a pre-industrial age because NOTHING electrical works.
2. Once electronically neutered, the Israelis can strike and seal the underground factories, making them into tombs for the Iranians there.
3. If Iran has a contingency plan with Hamas or Hezbullah to attack Israel, then turn the IDF loose and kick their butts — no prisoners — and tell the Syrians, Egyptians, and Saudis that if they want war, Israel will obliterate them as utterly as it did Iran.
Iran deserves an EMP strike. Other nations deserve for all of the oil facilities in the Middle East to be destroyed.
I’ve been ready to grab a grizzly bear by the tail for years. Beating it into unconsciousness so you can let go is the problem. Same thing with Iran. Wish I shared your certainty, but I’m not sure we’re ready to beat Iran even now.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Israel kicks off the “festivities” on 6 Nov...
Not to worry about Iran’s buried stuff. A bunker buster on each side of each entry will seal the whole thing off for a decade or two-——and suffocate all the geniuses that are in the hole at the time——not seeing the downside here. When one hides ones stuff in a known hole -in-the-ground one sets oneself up for great disappointment. Remember how we quit building shore defense guns as soon as WW II broke out? It was obvious it was going to be an air war and fixed defenses were obsolete. Hitler kept building fixed defenses and the 8th Air Force w/ Bomber Harris ate his lunch. We did build an aircraft assembly plant underground at Wheeler AFB in Hawaii but it was not air raid safe. It was just out of sight. And we’ve even retired Cheyenne mountain as a main facility for the same kinds or reasons. If you’re not mobile you’re dead.
“-—Israel’s enemies will come to Iran’s defense”——that’s another thot you can rest easy about. Ask yourself which one of them is up for another buttkickin’? Syria-—no way. They lost their whole armored corp twice. Egypt, not happening -—they lost their whole air force once and their whole armored corp twice. Jordan, huh uh-—the runt king nearly got his armor trapped on the wrong side of the river last time he got frisky. Turks-—the Kurds will keep them home. Libya-—done for. Saudis-—no transport-—couldn’t get there and could kiss of their oil fields if they tried. Lebanesees, Gazas, who else? None of these JO’s have the horsepower to do anything but whine, whimper, bellyache, and take cheap shots.
You seem to be well versed on this subject, how do you view the possibility of Russia getting involved in an Israeli/Iran shoot ‘em up? As I see it, it depends on whether Putin views the destruction of Iran as a slap in the face, or whether he’ll be content with knowing that Russia made a whole lotta money off of those little Persian pricks before Netanyahu and the IDF lowered the boom.
Found this odd image searching for a Patton image...just have to post the silly thing :-)
The rear wheel turns....then it falls down.

Brilliant!
Suppose Israel launches a single-missile attack on itself from one of their subs near Iran that causes minimal damage. Then blames Iran and retaliates overwhelmingly.
That would be the best way to get the ball rolling. Of course, then there would be less surprise effect.
