The U.S. Justice Department on Friday made public the names of 55 Guantanamo prisoners who have been approved for transfer to the custody of other countries, releasing information sought by human rights organizations.
The announcement, which reverses a 2009 decision, was a surprise to organizations that had filed FOIA requests seeking the information.
"We did not expect this," said Omar Farah, attorney for the Center for Constitutional Rights. "This is an important development."

Wow, what a relief.
Now that these guys will be released, there will be no more burning Obama in effigy in their home countries, and Netanyahu will stop calling in the middle of football. Flowers will bloom, birds will sing, and children everywhere will do their homework without nagging.

Wait. I just had a tin foil hat moment. What if Obama is releasing these guys because he knows he will lose. They will be trouble for President Romney, and everybody will wish for the good ol’ days of the Obama presidency. Then he will run for president in 2016, saying it’s time to bring back peace.
For now. Soon they will change it to something a little less conspicuous before moving to the US.
