In a statement to THE WEEKLY STANDARD, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin offers some advice for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, this year's Republican ticket for president and vice president, respectively.
"With so much at stake in this election, both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan should 'go rogue' and not hold back from telling the American people the true state of our economy and national security," says Palin. "They need to continue to find ways to break through the filter of the liberal media to communicate their message of reform."
Palin also suggests that Romney and Ryan can be responsible for an epiphany on this country's fiscal standing. "America desperately needs to have a 'come to Jesus' moment in discussing our big dysfunctional, disconnected, and debt-ridden federal government," says Palin.
"It is nothing short of appalling that President Obama couldn't even remember how much our national debt is during his interview with David Letterman the other night. Even my 10-year-old daughter knows that it's $16 trillion, and unlike Obama, she's not responsible for adding trillions to it. Obama casually told America that we don't have to worry about our debt in the 'short term.' Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan need to ask him how long that 'short term' will last."
Palin adds that Romney and Ryan are being "counted on" to get this right.
"At the founding of our country, a great American patriot wrote, 'If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace,'" says Palin. "Obama's motto seems to be, 'Let the good times roll in my day. The kids can deal with the catastrophic bankruptcy in theirs.' That's no way for the leader of a great nation to behave, and I hope Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney continue to call him out on it. Generations of American children are counting on them."
I wish their was a provision to nominate a Vice Presidents secondary, in effect a Vice-Vice President.
This isn’t going to stop or fade away, Sarah Palin knows what and when to say the right stuff. Its up to Romney how he accepts that.
“Romney needs to pretend Obama is Palin or Cain or Gingrich and take no prisoners.”
Ginrich advised him to do exactly that:
Gingrich to Romney: Do to Obama what you did to me

Palin and everyone else misses the point of the infamous 47% tape, and what the GOP Establishment has been saying and doing for years. That point is that only the <10% undecideds matter. The rest of the voters, the over 90% who always vote Democrat or Republican don’t matter since they’ve already made their minds up, and cancel each other out. So it doesn’t matter what Sarah Palin and the rest of the GOP base think, since they’re going to vote Republican no matter what Romney says or does. All Romney has to do is win the majority of the undecideds, and he becomes president.
Gee what an intelligent reply. Your name calling and insults must be the only way you can defend your liberal candidate. Calling the truth lies is not new but I guess for you it is the only way. How could anyone question the honesty of a man who with his father marched with MLK.
You would prefer being burdened with Obama for 4 more years? We used to refer to such actions as cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Believe me I have considered that. But I am not convinced that 8 years of Romney would in any way turn the tide of liberalism. Yes I know Obama is an extreme liberal and Romney may be a little less liberal but I don’t think either is good for the Country. I would cut off my nose, not to spite, but to save my face.
Unfortunately, Romney doesn't believe in Jesus as Christians do.
And I'm afraid Brightright was correct with his first remark. Several of Romney's handlers were lent to the McCain campaign, and they were more responsible than anyone else for muzzling Sarah, setting her up to be interviewed by liberals who were permitted to edit and distort her answers, and giving McCain advice that lost him the election.
Whether that was Romney's intention would be hard to prove for certain. But regretably it seems likely.
You still fantasizing about her making you a sammich?

More here. It would be encouraging if Team Mitt listens to Governor Palins advice and begins to show similar passion and conviction in their battle with Obama. Im not optimistic, though, and fear well be treated to more of this kind of drivel instead.
Update: Will Romney heed Governor Palins advice and make some necessary changes to his campaign? I think we have our answer, via CBS:
Scott Pelley: Governor, I appreciate your message very much. But that wasnt precisely the question. Youre the CEO of this campaign. A lot of Republicans would like to know, a lot of your donors would like to know, how do you turn this thing around? Youve got a little more than six weeks. What do you do?
Mitt Romney: Well, it doesnt need a turnaround. Weve got a campaign which is tied with an incumbent president to the United States Ive got a very effective campaign. Its doing a very good job.
Translation: Remain calm, all is well.
The pollsters would have lied about her poll numbers! ALL the polls, including FOX and Ras would have said she was in 30`s.
She knew this I believe! The masses would have bought into it all.
Come and tare me a new one if you like, it`s just what I believe.
The country is doomed, the American people, the masses are still controlled by the MSM,the internet and talk radio are not enough. Fox News is part of MSM
Sarah is smarter than the rest of us, she has it figured out.
Talk of a third party...Rand Paul says he believes the 3rd party will be Libertarian, you know what that means? It means it will not be a party with a pro life family values platform.
So we are doomed, turn to Jesus is all we can do, perhaps he returns soon anyway
Bingo.
