Morality is only one dimension of politics and Quacky had been neutered. A few years back we assisted another mass murderer (a much bigger one BTW) try and kill Iranians. Some years before that we allied with the biggest mass murderer in history to beat the second biggest.
Quacky had become an asset. It was a mistake to remove him.
Mubarak (sp) was an even bigger mistake.
Mubarak was a massive mistake. We’ve quite likely put the assassins of Sadat in charge of Egypt.
And we telegraphed that we will not stand by our allies.
