The Libertarian Party reports that Gary Johnson will be on the ballot in at least 47 states, plus the District of Columbia.
The party is involved in litigation to get him on the ballot in the three remaining states, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Michigan, where a judge ruled last week that Johnson could not appear on the ballot because he also ran as a Republican in the states February presidential primary.

Why is Johnson so intent on keeping Obama in office? I consider him a traitor.
>>Fine. Hell steal more votes from 0bama than Romney<<
That’s what I wuz thinking. Legalize weed, supports gay marriage, calls for a 40+% cut in military spending...sounds more like a democrat to me.
“oh great another Ross Perot moment”
I was thinking the same thing. WTF is wrong with these people. If you want to make a political statement for your cause, why not do it when a race isn’t this close?
First, as a registered “Independent”, since Louisiana really hates anything that smatters different than a Huey Long influence(including Piyush Jin-dahl, er, Bobby Jindal, anchorbaby), I watched with great intent the Libertarian Party’s convention on CSPAN. A nice 6-hour event, from start to finish. I was quite impressed with the demeanor of Jim Gray. That was not the case with Gary Johnson, who like John Kerry, never let you forgets that he was two-time governor of a Western state. Jim Gray was a no-nonsense guy, with straight answers. Gary Johnson speaks with the same boring politician’s tones of being bored, and why do I have to answer all these questions? Just give me the damn nomination, now! So, in the end, they gave it to him, and handed Jim Gray the VP slot as a bone.
Second, in this present election, I KNOW and fully UNDERSTAND, that is either we become a Communist country, or we kick out all those firestarters, and return America, to what it has always been, before the Leftists and Hollywooders got their foot in the door.
Lastly, I would not vote for Gary Johnson, even with a snubnose pointed at my head. His policies were more daft than Ron Paul’s. His foreign policies remind me of that other nut who tried running for President, McGovern. The key word is Isolationist. Wilson was the last President who believed in that, and the post-WW2 Marshall Plan was the last nail in the coffin on that ideology.
So, to all Libertarians, if you want America to be where you can have your Freedom, as it was taught how we first got it, or live in a country where the government runs your life, as in any Socialist, or Marxist country in history, either vote for Freedom via Romney/Ryan, or go vote for Johnson and Obama.
You must be kidding. We've lost all semblances of freedom over 40 years ago, and the police state marches on, regardless of who is in office.
Gay is not a right.
Let's hope he runs on that issue. He will suck up more obama votes than Romney votes.
We should publicize his pro-drug platform to the skulls full of idiot mush out there.
??? What planet did you say you were from again?
The sale of alcohol is legal but don't get caught with a still. I guarantee any gold from dope will be made by the likes of ADM or Monsanto. They probably already have the GMO versions ready.
Republicans break 10-82 percent against same-sex marriage, but 22 percent say they support I-502.
With that said, I care about my country and cringe at the thought of Obozo in that office for four more years.
Some things are just more important than others. Free market, constitutional republic must remain intact. Our constitutional rights preserved above all else.
The left in government would like to cede our country over to the U.N., ban the 2nd amendment, squelch free speech and grow government.
Sorry, but the right to smoke a doobie does not reach to the level of what we are fighting for. That is a secondary issue.
Obozo and his cronies are seizing control of every aspect of citizen's lives....he must be stopped.
Gary Johnson did not win the republican primary. I voted for the most conservative candidate during that process. Now it is time to hop on board and drag Romney across the finish line and we can work on the other issues afterward.
Come on in for the big win and stop all the nonsense.
Make no mistake however, this is about regaining some state rights and you should support it for that reason alone.
Obama and his minions are ruining the pharmaceutical industry and making the federal govt into the new pharmaceutical giant of all time.
Out here we don't take kindly to the DC crew trying to run our lives. Watch us tell them to shove it very soon.
I am primarily trying to show that being for legalization of marijuana does not make Johnson a goofball.
