No vectored thrust on those big engines, gear doors are not angled to deflect radar, horizontal stabilizers not cut to deflect either. Most likely designed to fly in low and fast and then turn and burn with the engines. Those big engines would make REALLY big targets, considering that most modern heat seekers go after the heat created by friction on the leading edges of the aircraft.
I am sure there are other disadvantages that the aircraft would exhibit against the 22, might be a tougher match for 15’s and 16’s that Japan has in the inventory.
I’m just sayin’ . . .
