Glenn Beck said this morning that MSNBC Andrea Mitchell is beating FOX and Oreilly in ratings now. Beck has not said it but it is probably that so many conservatives have stopped watching FOX and many of the Obama base are now waking up and tuning in MSNBC.
Conservatives have jobs. They don’t have time to watch goofy morning shows.
Aside from beck’s sour grapes, from my vantage (no TV) it sounds like Fox has been leaning too far to the left lately.
That would tend to reduce the number of viewers. When I did have TV I nearly smashed it due to that shepard smith creep.
Live + Same Day Cable News Daily Ratings for August 7, 2012

MSNBC beat Fox 2 days in a row in the 24-54 category on the days of the 47 video debacle. It’s just 2 days. I don’t know if it’s a trend set in cement.

And you just took that at face value or what? Does Screwface go head-to-head with Phonejob? No she does not. Did Fox win all-viewer matchups? Yes they did. Does Phonejob still beat FatEd like a gong? Yes he does. Did Hannity beat Madcow in all-viewer? Yes he did. Did Madcow beat Hannity once if you drill down to a limited-viewer segment? Yes she did.
The ill-logic of that is staggering.
O’Reilly has close to a million viewers, Andi girl about 50K, and Beck says she is now beating him in the ratings war?
Personally I wouldn't take Beck's word as gospel. He tends to, um, "exaggerate" the truth sometimes, as both Andrew Breitbart and Mark Levin found out. Just this week he told about Mitt Romney anonymously supplying a VA hospital with milk for two years; Beck said his people dug up the story, and that he would make the country aware of it. The truth is, the story had already been documented in "The Real Romney", which I read this summer.
O’Reilly still thinks obama is a good guy. Always gives him the benefit of the doubt. The most educated are the most stupid.
How can Andrea Mitchell be beating O’Reilly in the ratings? She comes on in the early afternoon and O’Reilly comes on later in the evening, right?
F&F is getting difficult to watch during the week. I can still stand the weekend crew, but the weekday group is simply tedious.
Anything after 8AM is simply a commercial for whatever product the are shilling for these days.
Kilmeade is taking the wise-guy thing too far, and the Scarecrow guy just spews talking points.
Now, I am not saying the other shows are watchable— tried to watch the Today show the other day when we had a house guest (yes, I have to respect a house guest’s watching habits.) It was unwatchable. Period. And it wasn’t that news chicks fault that show sucked—because she was not on that day. Its just horrible.
I watch CNBC until whatever report comes out at 8:30—then off to listen to the radio in my in-home office.
Just as well...I am getting more work done, earlier in the day. More time to walk my puppy.
