A Chicago alderman who had threatened to block Chick-fil-A from opening a store in his community says he will no longer stand in the chicken chains way after company leaders agreed to create policies that support the gay, lesbian and transgendered community.
Proco Joe Moreno said in a statement Tuesday that Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A has placed in a company document an agreement that directs its employees to treat people of all backgrounds with honor, dignity and respect regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender. The chain also said it would refrain from engaging in political or social debates.
Chick-fil-A leaders did not immediately return phone calls to verify that such an agreement had been struck.
This fight was never about freedom of speech or freedom of beliefs, Moreno said in the statement. Despite common characterization, this fight was about ensuring the right of LGBT citizens everywhere . . . This fight was about justice.

FU chic fil a..you’re an embarrassment and weak. and you should be ashamed after all the people took time and MONEY to come out and support your right to free speech and right to support any cause you like.
As it involves a Chicago Aldermen, this would be Government censorship wouldn’t it? Our Liberties are evaporating before our very eyes. I wonder if the deal involved threats.
I’d believe what a Chicago Democrat alderman says about as much as I’d believe what a Chicago Democrat community organizer/state senator/US Senator/US POTUS says....
Absolutely and utterly unbelievable. Why on Earth did they do this??? Wow. Just wow.
We can’t just disbelieve because the source is someone we don’t like. I double checked and this is being reported all over.
You’re not only late to the debate, you are wrong as well.
But - to your credit - you HAVE blindly followed the media’s agenda.
(This is the 4th CFA thread on this issue so far today. And the homo nazi notion that CFA caved in to the queer agenda HAS BEEN DEBUNKED.)
I did a search before I posted the AJC article. I am curious as to how the statements I posted have been debunked. Seriously.
When ABC News requested clarification from Chick-fil-A on the policies that Moreno says are new, the company resent a statement from July, when the controversy about its traditional marriage support first erupted.
From the source of all sources - a pro-fag group....
Additionally, they have sent an internal memo to franchisees and stakeholders that states that as a company, they will “treat every person with honor, dignity and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender” and that their “intent is not to engage in political or social debates.” This statement was placed into an official company document called “Chick-fil-A: Who We Are.”
Look Dammit. CFA has ALWAYS maintained this Christ-like virtue; to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender. This is NOT NEW.
Shame on so many of you.
So, does this mean that pressure will be ramped up by the “LEGAL” community on HOME DEPOT and some of the other businesses that donate tons of money to LGBT agenda causes?
they will “treat every person with honor, dignity and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender”
That is indeed an actual CFA statement. From BEFORE this faggoty boycott business even started last July. And WHAT is wrong with that statement? Not a damm thing! That is and always has been a sensible (and Christ-like) business model.
But now? Now the homo nazi's have formed a perverted alliance through the media (of course) to twist this innocent old comment into their advantage.
Disgusting. They have Alinsky'd so many conservatives.
Absolutely and utterly unbelievable. Why on Earth did they do this??? Wow. Just wow.

You’re right. It is unbelievable. They DIDN’T do it. Read further....
Sorry, all your shouting is quite unconvincing to me. I just read the related post and comments on NRO’s The Corner, and it sure sounds like capitulation to me, not just a reiteration of previous statements. I gather that the Cathy family have promised they will henceforthfade into the sunset when anything other than chicken-eating is up for discussion, quite unlike the executives at many other major corporations, who are giving away billions to promote gay causes, including marriage and adoption.
I also understand that Chik-fil-A’s foundation will give no more money to groups the gays consider haters, which will no doubt include the evangelical and Catholic church groups that so heartily embraced Chik-fil-A long before this controversy erupted.
What’s the problem? You have CFA franchise?
Mayor Rahm danced into the controversy after Alderman Proco Joe Moreno (1st ward) publicly announced his opposition to Chick-Fil-A opening in his ward.
Mayor Rham chuckled while doing a graceful plie: "It's easy to do business in Chicago when you know 'the rules.' Chick-Fil-A can open in our town as long as it adopts 'Chicago Values.' "
(1) weekly cash pay off to the alderman;
(2) hire six of the alderman's friends who work only random days of the month,
(3) BIG AL from the Mayor's office picks up all cash in brown paper bags at CFA's back door,
(4) Chick Fil A staff trained to shoot 10-12 customers per month,
(5) Any CFA customers actually killed must be registered to vote as Democrats,
(6) $100,00 campaign contribution to Obama,
(7) free food to Jesse Jackson, Jr, who is now "convalescing," b/c he screwed up buying Obama's Senate seat.

THIS JUST IN: The Chicago Ballet Ensemble announces that
Mayor Rahm Emanuel will debut in the presentation of a new
Chicago ballet: "The Godfather--Bang-Bang, You're Dead. "
Mayor Rahm in dress rehearsal.
Chill out. CFA did not ask for the fight. They did not ask folks to flash mob their restaurants. They cook and sell chicken.
Unless I am badly mistaken, their core values will remain solid.
Find something else to rant about.
