The state has published notice that it is on the verge of suspending Shellie Zimmerman's concealed weapons permit.
She's the wife of George Zimmerman, the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old, in Sanford, Feb. 26, setting off weeks of civil rights rallies across the country.
Both Zimmermans have concealed weapons permits, according to authorities, but the Florida Division of Licensing bought a legal notice in the Sanford Herald Sunday, officially notifying her that it was on the verge of suspending hers.
It is taking that action after Special Prosecutor Angela Corey charged Shellie Zimmerman with perjury, a felony, something that allows the state to temporarily yank her gun permit.
If convicted, she could lose it permanently.

Outrageous!
Indecent!
The judge needs impeachment!
Hell hath no fury like a Black robe leftist scorned...
How can this be seen as anything but a political stunt? The judge has been removed for cause. He has zero credibility in this case.
Very true; it's odd that so many of the American people think these judges are watching after their interests.
These ccw permits are worthless. Like fiat money. If you want Uncle Ben to know you have weapons, get a ccw.
It’s more than a political move, it leaves her and her husband even more defenseless. Thus making it easier and more likely that the NBPP “bounty” will be collected before the trial and thus having all of these political shenanigans swept under the carpet permanently.
Typical Stalinist dirty tricks, the reason for jury trials.
The average professional in this country wakes up in the morning, goes to work, comes home, eats dinner, and then goes to sleep, unaware that he or she has likely committed several federal crimes that day. Why? The answer lies in the very nature of modern federal criminal laws, which have not only exploded in number, but, along with countless regulatory provisions, have also become impossibly broad and vague. In Three Felonies a Day, Harvey A. Silverglate reveals how the federal criminal justice system has become dangerously disconnected from common law traditions of due process an fair notice of the law's expectations, enabling prosecutors to pin arguable federal crimes on any one of us, for even the most seemingly innocuous behavior.
The dangers spelled out in Three Felonies a Day do not apply solely to "white collar criminals," state and local politicians, and professionals. No social class or profession is safe from this troubling form of social control by the executive branch, and nothing less than the continued functioning and integrity of our constitutional democracy hangs in the balance.
The IRS (Gestapo) has written so many laws and regulations that every one reading this response has unknowingly violated some Gestapo law or regulation. The same applies with all other government rules, regulations and laws.
We are all unknowing criminals. It’s just a matter of whether we piss off some bureaucrat somewhere in any level of government as to whether we too, will face our day in court.
“State moves to suspend Shellie Zimmerman’s concealed weapons permit’
This is not rocket science.
The reason this happens is because good citizens do nothing. People need to organize themselves and demand the impeachment and removal of the judge and prosecutor. Until they do so, this crap will continue to happen. Fascists and communists are emboldened when there are no consequences to their illegal actions.
“If you want Uncle Ben to know you have weapons, get a ccw.”
I’ve often thought the same of those huge expensive gun safes. If your home is searched, it’s a dead give away you have guns and only a matter of time before all are found.
Can she appeal this? As Zimmerman’s wife, she has probably received death threats.
Ayn Rand, "Atlas Shrugged"
Or post on the banglist on freerepublic.
There are many ways to get on these "lists". Ever buy a hunting license?
Such a easy way to disarm the citizen activist isn’t it?
Florida has judicial elections. lower judges serve for six years.
apellate judges have merrit retention. (you only get to vote “keep or replace”)
If you see a FL SC judge or appeal judge, vote replace is the default answer.
There is now a big question regarding Trayvon Martin's phone -- the one found at the scene that didn't work. Was it really his phone???
Yeah, can’t have her able to defend herself when Trayvon’s homies come looking for revenge...
Hope she knows she can have a handgun in her car, in a snap-holster in a closed compartment, loaded and ready.
And of course she can carry at home.
