Bill requires all health plans to cover contraceptives, sterilizations A $1.047 trillion bill funding the federal government through March 2013 has been passed by House Republicans. The bill includes the regulation that took effect on August 1 that will require virtually all health plans in the U.S. to cover, without fees or co-pay, sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives -- including those that induce abortions. LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The vote passed by a wide margin of 329-91. The bill now goes to the Senate for expected approval next week. The bill also funds the government for six months into the new fiscal year and for almost five months after the November elections. Congress turned to the stop-gap measure after failing to pass any of the 12 appropriation bills necessary to fund day-to-day government operations. Declared unanimously as an "unjust and illegal mandate" by the bishops of the United States, the body declared the Obamacare sterilization-contraception-abortifacient regulation one that violates the right to free exercise of religion -- not only of Catholic institutions, but also of Catholic business owners and workers. The bill does not prohibit funding for either Obamacare programs or Planned Parenthood, nor does it stop the government from enforcing regulations, such as the mandate from the Health and Human Services Department that nearly all health insurance plans provide contraceptives, sterilizations and abortion-inducing drugs free of charge. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), described the health insurance mandate as an "unambiguous attack on religious freedom in our country" and a violation of the First Amendment protecting the free exercise of religion. Boehner supports the CR along with the GOP House leadership.

Romney is the end result of years of Conservatives holding their noses and voting for the lesser of 2 evils.
Now our choice is between 2 baby-killing, homo-loving, statist, non-Christian libs.
Conservatism is DEAD.
This article is unnecessarily inflammatory and doesn’t speak well for the source. Go read the bill for yourself, it’s a standard appropriations bill:

Here’s the link to those who voted for and against:

There are some good comments on the original thread about this, here:

I don’t care how it reads...They still funded Planned Parenthood and giving Planned Parenthood one red cent gets me inflamed.

Continuing Resolution - Vote Passed (329-91, 9 Not Voting)
The only “must-pass” bill on the congressional ledger before election season fully takes over is a measure to fund the government beyond September 30. Prior to the August recess, Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. announced an agreement in principle to fund the government for six months. The House did its part last week, passing six-month CR with an overwhelming majority. The resolution sets FY 13 annualized spending at $1.047 trillion, roughly in line with the level set by last year’s debt ceiling agreement. Democrats claimed a tactical victory as the House Republican budget passed earlier this year had set a lower spending level. The perceived tradeoff for Republicans is that, if they win control of the Senate next year and retain the House majority, they will have a freer hand in writing spending bills. While most programs receive a nominal increase in funding from the CR, a handful, including wildfire suppression, cybersecurity, and veterans’ benefits, would receive more substantial boosts. There is also about $88.5 billion in war funding and $6.4 billion in disaster relief, neither of which count against the overall cap. The resolution is likely to pass quickly in the Senate and has the White House’s backing; however, one potential snag is a decrease in surface transportation funding from the level in the reauthorization passed in July. Senator Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., who chaired the conference committee on that bill, has already expressed concern on that front.

Thanks for the link!
Deep in the thread you come armed with the facts.
Unnecessarily this is “freak out” material. I tried at 39. You are much more succinct.
You’re welcome. :-)
” Very, very disappointed to see that West vote for this. What the Hell? Seriously.”
Steve Sutherland also. What a pos.
The shocking adoption of an official (if secret) policy by the United States, of defining its own national security in terms of the reduction of population of other, poorer nations, represents the predominant influence, but not yet the core worldview, of the neo-Malthusians.
Their policies are represented to governments in terms of economic or strategic coercion, the exercise of raw power of empires or superpowers to stop the development of other, competitor nations. But their core objective is sheer racial and class hatred, a desire to eliminate as many brown, black, yellow, or poor human beings as possible.

What a time to conduct this betrayal... you would think that they want to loose this November.
Don’t blame me. Blame Rove and the GOP-E. I hate these bastards for shoving their spineless, corrupt, meat-puppet candidates down our throats.
The path is becoming narrow and America is being trashed by elite drunk-with-power College punks
who help each other and assure nothing stops them. America may need a cleansing soon.
Fund Obamacare
Don’t fund defense.
Pathetic.
Ryan voted for it.
My Rep., Jim Jordan voted against it. (Bless him.)
Boehner - that bastard Boehner and his side-kick McConnell.
The more I see what cowards the Republicans are, the more I feel justified in my decision to sit out the presidential election and hunker down, get under the radar, and protect my family in my own way.
America is dead and gone. The final nail in the coffin was the 2008 election of an African communist as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. America had a great run. Remember it fondly for what it was. Theres no point hanging onto the past.
The United States of America is now little more than a land mass populated by cretins, ingrates, and parasites who have absolutely no respect for the military and who vote for big government to confiscate money from their neighbors so that it may be redistributed to them in exchange for their votes. It is not an America worth defending anymore. That America no longer exists.
The parasites outnumber the hosts now, and theres no going back. America is dead.
The Democrats have won.
Nothing lasts forever, (shrug), and theres no point crying or whining about it. My recommendation to every decent American left out there is to throw some cold water in your face and go to Plan B. Figure out how to grab every government dime you possibly can before the parasites who comprise the Democrat party base gobble it all up. Look for angles. Look for refuge. Get under the radar and game the system until there is no longer a system to game. Don’t delay. Every man for himself.
Good luck, everybody.
It fascinates me that every time I say the GOP will do these things I am labeled some Obama loving Liberal.
Let me tell you where this is all headed since way too many Conservatives follow the elite like sheep.
Obama will be re-elected big. The Senate stays Dem and there is a 60% chance the GOP loses the House.
Being Conservative means facing facts. And the facts are, we’ve been played BIG time. So go ahead, believe all the silly, desperate poll analysis by those with their heads in the sand or those who are trying to spin the Romney hidden tape disaster into a plus. MAYBE after the election we can get down to saving Conservatism.
