Bill requires all health plans to cover contraceptives, sterilizations A $1.047 trillion bill funding the federal government through March 2013 has been passed by House Republicans. The bill includes the regulation that took effect on August 1 that will require virtually all health plans in the U.S. to cover, without fees or co-pay, sterilizations and all FDA-approved contraceptives -- including those that induce abortions. LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - The vote passed by a wide margin of 329-91. The bill now goes to the Senate for expected approval next week. The bill also funds the government for six months into the new fiscal year and for almost five months after the November elections. Congress turned to the stop-gap measure after failing to pass any of the 12 appropriation bills necessary to fund day-to-day government operations. Declared unanimously as an "unjust and illegal mandate" by the bishops of the United States, the body declared the Obamacare sterilization-contraception-abortifacient regulation one that violates the right to free exercise of religion -- not only of Catholic institutions, but also of Catholic business owners and workers. The bill does not prohibit funding for either Obamacare programs or Planned Parenthood, nor does it stop the government from enforcing regulations, such as the mandate from the Health and Human Services Department that nearly all health insurance plans provide contraceptives, sterilizations and abortion-inducing drugs free of charge. House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), described the health insurance mandate as an "unambiguous attack on religious freedom in our country" and a violation of the First Amendment protecting the free exercise of religion. Boehner supports the CR along with the GOP House leadership.

Ok
True dat.
I speak a bit of French myself, when the occasion warrants it, which more and more a common occurance...
Too much news to keep up with. Still haven’t read this yet.
It’s over. If 2010 wasn’t enough to shake up the cowards in the GOP, then nothing will.
FU Boehner you pussy.
I hate the GOP, I loathe the Dems.
I’ve had this up for days planning to read it.
What I want to know is are the Republican congressmen who voted for this just cowards or are they on board with it? Not that it matters, they’ve chosen evil and it will stick to them.
This tells me that it’s going to have to get very, very rough before it gets better.
I so agree with you (but you know that). Many Republicans are exactly like the Democrats. Oh—we have a few good men (and women) but the majority have sold their soul for money and positive press releases. Most can’t stand the heat.
We are seeing everyone who defy the Progressive/Marxist agenda will be vilified and destroyed and run out of town, if it is possible. Too many people have skeletons in their closets, and can’t risk the rage of the Marxists. The Marxists have the Soros money to target anyone with thousands of dollars.
Sadly, the Congress has destroyed the souls and innocence of their own children and grandchildren—which will collapse the culture like Lukacs planned. They think they can avoid cultural effects....you can’t.
