Karl Rove's weekly commentary on his updated Electoral Map:
"Four states changed status since last week's Electoral College map.
"Both Minnesota and Pennsylvania shifted from 'lean Obama' to 'safe Obama.' Michigan moved to 'lean Obama' for now. And Kentucky moved from 'lean' to 'safe' Romney.
"Barack Obama now has 214 'safe' Electoral College votes and only two 'lean' states (27 EC votes). These changes come after a week of heavy polling (there were 41 polls conducted in 20 states last week, compared to 13 surveys taken in nine states the week prior)

"With Kentucky's change, Mitt Romney has 154 'safe' EC votes while three states (37 EC votes) 'lean' in his favor. The states in Mr. Romney's column are unlikely to change in the 50 days left until the election because they are all generally safe Republican states.

I wouldn’t be surprised. The whole fricken party can’t wait to have 65 to 70% of 20 to 35 million more people voting for the Democrats. We can barely win elections as it is, and that must frustrate the RNC something fierce.
To see such minor change doesnt fit the narrative. Kentucky, I had no doubts about. Pennsylvania was always going to go Obama anyway. I dont know why anyone ever thought it was a swing state.
Great point, your first sentence! It certainly doesn't, does it? All these (hack) polls that came out today, some had zero up by 10, where before it was half that. There should be a major change then (but the polls are skewed in many ways). I never believed PA would go anywhere but to zero.
Why, I have seen him take a slam dunk election for Republican Candidates, and at the cost of hundreds of millions of dollars literally snatch Defeat from the very Jaws of Sure Victory. This is the jerk that gave all of GW's TV production work to a Democrat-controlled ad agency that gave GW's scripts to the DNC before GW saw them and spent literally a hundred million to produce ads that would have disgraced a live bait store.
If you give Rove enough big money, he can turn a potentially boring landslide for someone like GW into an exciting closely fought contest. This is the anus who cost the GOP control of the Senate by nationally bad-mouthing a candidate who had the nerve not to hire HIM.
His true genius lies in getting Republicans to give him more and more money to come up with brilliant thoughts such as "Mexicans are the Republicans of the Future." If the Republicans are supposed to be the party of "Big Business," how come no one on the RNC knows anything about advertising and marketing? If Karl were the ad manager of a used car lot, he would have been shiite-canned long ago. Never in the history of human marketing communications have people given so much money for so few results. Me? I have had enough of the idiot Rove. We had better get a savant on the job before, at colossal expense, this jackass sinks another Republican campaign.
