Mitt Romney on Monday said his controversial statements caught on tape were off the cuff and not elegantly stated, but he defended the main message of his remarks.

Telling the truth is almost always a controversial, revolutionary act. Most of the time, people instead say what others want to hear.
1 Samuel 8
6 But when they said, Give us a king to lead us, this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD. 7 And the LORD told him: Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will claim as his rights. 10 Samuel told all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking him for a king. 11 He said, This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle [c] and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the LORD will not answer you in that day. 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. No! they said. We want a king over us.”
This may end up being a boon to Mr. Romney instead.
It makes so much sense to get the dependency rates down in America.
The problem is, he told the truth. The Dems have been working on getting the dependency vote for decades. Once they got the scale tipped far enough, they would have the majority vote. To He** with the consequences, the objective is POWER. They knew even back in 2004 Obama was going to be the culmination of their work. A person coming from “nowhere” to become President. A well laid-out plan, and they may have finally succeed. Even if the House and Senate would get Republican majorities, Obama will circumvent them and do what he wants.
I know sheeperals are not known for their respect of the “long view”, but they are going to be cut off, one way or another.
The current system is unsustainable.
Romney did a fair job defending himself.
But the commies are foolish to beat the drum on this. They’re doing us a favor every time they mention the tact that 47% of us are on the take. This will be news to most people.
This also turns the debate back to the welfare state, the debt, and the economy.
R & R should harp on, “Odumbo, the Food Stamp President.”
They probably have more of these distraction tactics planned. I also think they either planned or assisted in the mideast turmoil distraction but not the libyan assassination and now they have to cover that one up. We are witnessing industrial strength chicago politics in action here.
Romney will get press coverage because if this so-called gaffe. He should use that not to defend so much but attack obama as responsible for people out of work. Also use it to ask if obama really wants to let a bklind terrorist go free?
The liberals must really love the poor, their policies make so many of them.
Awesome response.
Job 5:12
12 He frustrates the devices of the crafty,
So that their hands cannot carry out their plans.
Amen ...
BUMP!

BUMP!
In 1980 outrage over the welfare queens driving Cadillacs down to pick up their checks drove Reagan to victory.
Have we become too much of a welfare nation for that to happen now? Guess we are gonna find out.
Your friend’s excitement should be uncontainable today with the media going for Romney’s jugular. Doug Schoen and even John Fund claim this was “too divisive and will drive the dems, who weren’t going to vote, as well as the undecideds to the polls once they realize they were dissed. Instead of uniting people he’s divided them into classes.” Funny I thought that was what NObama has been doing for years now and it didn’t seem to jerk anyone’s chain..... I doubt this will die anytime soon as he media will never let it go and team NObama must be busy developing new ads distorting his words.
