National polling suggests that the American public is deeply divided about whom it wants to be the next president of the United States...
But if likely voters are almost evenly split on who should occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in January, they are far less indecisive on who they think will be the next president.
Nearly six in 10 (59 percent) registered voters in a Post-ABC poll in late August said they thought Obama would win while just 34 percent chose Romney, even as the head-to-head vote in that poll stood at 47 percent for Romney and 46 percent for Obama among registered voters.

It’s not 1980 anymore.
“People seem to think Obamugabe will win?”
Obama’s media is telling them 24/7 that it is inevitable.
Yep. There are several factors at play. One is the skewed media pushing inevitability. Second are people who are for Romney but think all is lost...that the takers have won. There are those that think Obama is some sort of master who can’t lose. Others who are watching and don’t see Romney doing what it will take to win. Lot’s of reasons a person might not feel confident in a GOP win.
I believe the day of the election many people are going to reflect on what we’ve been reduced to, and cast a ballot for Romney. Nobody could want four more years of this...
If Obama and Moochelle go to CHURCH close to the election, they KNOW they are in trouble.
I hope Mitt wins. 12,000,000 new jobs sounds good.
Good post. The oblunder defenses haven’t cracked a bit. Romney has no weapon of mass destruction. Soon the markets will start girding for an oblunder victory and it won’t be pretty.
I hope you meant that sarcastically. His constant touting of new job numbers is just silly. In Ohio he told a group we’d have x number of jobs. These statements are laughable.
Look, people were told that by oblunder, and what happened? No jobs. We are jaded by such empty promises about the government being able to create jobs somehow.
I don’t know who’s running Mittens’ campaign, McClain perhaps? But he is running a campaign more suitable to 2008 than 2012.
This reminds me of the OJ trial years ago. All the evidence and proof SHOWED it was OJ that murdered his wife and the other man. Yet, many blacks and, unfortunately, the jury stood obstinate in the face of all of it and gave him a pass.
That is what is happening with Obama. Only it’s not just 12 uneducated minorities, or a large percentage of blacks. It is virtually the entire MSM, DC and national pundits - including many traditional GOPers, Unions, virtually the entire black population, and illegals, Muslims and corrupt ‘capitalist’ insiders along with the approximate half of the people in this country that do not pay Federal Income Tax.
Our only hope is that his constituency, while predisposed to support him, is not enthusiastic and their baser nature - laziness - prevails and they just don’t get up off the couch and go vote. Add an energetic and determined turnout on our side and he can be beaten.
To put it bluntly: Our candidate sucks. Romney hasn’t a clue any more than Obama does.
With Gingrich we may have had a chance, now what we have is Dumb and Dumber. We have to vote for Dumb to get rid of Dumber.
I will vote for Romney no matter how stupid his statements, no matter how much he sits back and does nothing. No matter how much he allows Obama to lie and stays quiet. No matter how much his campaign looks like McCains.
He wasn’t the best choice, but he is what we have and we also have his running mate which is a plus. I believe he is better than McCain was, and I believe the other side knows this.
They also know their base is not as enthusiastic as it was 4 years ago. It is why virtually every part of the MSM are more active and overt in their attempts to push Obama up the ladder - in the face of all evidence that his policies of the last 4 years have WORKED! Confoundingly, though, their success is why we are in the position we are now economically.
I’ll vote for Romney - over broken glass on my belly if need be. I don’t have to like it, but I will go vote against Obama.
It’s a lot of stupid white people too, including seniors who will lose everything.
I’m a senior, and I would never even think of voting for Obama. I care too much about what happens to my children and grand daughters if he is allowed to remain in power.
History is about to repeat itself.
Yes, for real.
Just as he who wins the battle writes the history, he who counts the votes wins the election. Spain is counting the votes instead of We the People of America.

I hear people who are going to vote against Obama saying this all the time..In many cases they follow with a statement that they think a great 2012 election fraud is already in place through a shadow organization Americans are not aware of which will negate a free and fair election. However, these folks will NOT stay home on election day. Americans are scared and depressed but they will stand against tyranny if such a thing becomes obvious.

I certainly hope so but then I still find it hard to believe most of what goes on these days. It is like living in Wonderland, I keep expecting a big white rabbit to run by and show me the way to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party...never mind, I just realized that is where I am. Will someone please slay that damned Jabberwock?
At least in 1980 there was some semblance of fair reporting. Now, an American Ambassador is murdered (even though the State Dept was warned three days in advance!) and his body drug through the streets, gas prices have more than doubled, half the Country is out of work with no real prospects and all of these facts are barely mentioned.
I’m a senior too. Yesterday I saw an elderly white man (he had to be pushing 80) with a 2012 obama sticker on his car. It’s mind boggling to me.
